This very pleasant, quiet, spacious and exceedingly well equipped condo was a terrific place for our group of 7: grandparents, 2 young couples and a 3 year old grandchild. The sleeper sofa downstairs in the living room actually provided enough privacy to function like a bedroom, as it has its own half bath and is quite well separated visually and acoustically from the upstairs rooms. Also, the mattress on the sofa was absolutely fine-- much better than the usual sofa-bed. Unit 11 is back from the road, with a large deck where we ate most meals, that is airy, surrounded by palms-tops and feels tropical and serene. The kitchen was exceptionally accommodating and well equipped, even for folks who seriously like to cook. There is a stair climb to enter, and stairs up to the bedrooms. The dining table is large enough to seat 8 comfortably, The outdoor table is also large (accommodated our group of 7) and the stools for the kitchen bar provided a great booster seat for our 3 year old. The location in Napili Bay is a quiet area, a significant drive from some of the main tourist areas of the island. However, we loved the total lack of crowds of tourists flocking everywhere. There is a small, attractive little shopping center about 5 minutes drive away, with an excellent market, a beach excursion/equipment/clothes provider, coffee shop, etc--totally convenient. There is no bathtub so we sponge- bathed our toddler in the sink upstairs--no problem. Our unit was quiet---set nicely back from the two lane, low speed street and facing an awesome tropical tree and garden planting. Beach access was great. Crossing the street on foot, you enter the pretty grounds of a resort and walk through to the beach in 5 minutes or less: picturesque, with lovely fine sand, and surf which is modified by 2 reefs so as to be nicely swimable. The beach is somewhat steep, not very wide, uncrowded, backed by palms and pretty vegetation. The water gets deep quickly off the beach, so it is not suitable for taking a toddler into the water beyond the shallow zone of broken waves running up on the sand. For our adults the snorkeling was fine, with nice coral and lots of cool fish, especially in the morning. The beach is lovely at and after sunset--I swam there until it was actually dark, and felt quite safe.
Condo management was great: very easy to reach even after business hours, and immediately responsive to the minor maintenance issues we had, even adjusting a somewhat noisy ceiling fan right away.
