“A perfect spot!”
Reviewed 12 October 2020 for a stay in October 2020

We had a great stay while we explored the local area. Lots of lovely touches (yummy cake on arrival!) and lots of fabulous information. Loved the rescue chickens and bird feeders. Wishing Claire and Chris a happy retirement, and the new owners all the best!

Fab week in the cottage. Perfect location for a chill break. 1 bedroom cottage had all in it that you could need. Plenty of places to see just a short drive from the cottage. If you're after a relaxing break, this is the place to go.

“Fantastic stay at Owl Cottage”

Me and my wife recently stayed at Valley View cottages in Boncath near Cardigan. The main reason for choosing this place was that it’s Dog friendly and quite close to many fantastic beaches in West Wales. We had an amazing time taking our Jack Russel to a lot of the beaches and coastal walks. All of the places we visited were within a 30 minute drive from the cottages and we were blown away with the natural beauty of the area. Well worth a visit was Mwnt beach and coastal path where we were lucky enough to see several Dolphins and a couple of grey seals. Buddy our dog loved the coastal path there as there were lots of Rabbit scents which he enjoyed exploring. We also spent a few hours at Poppit sands which is a lovely place but on the day we visited it was extremely windy but we all still enjoyed. We also visited Aberporth beach where we found a few seals bobbing up and down in the waves. We had a lovely bag of chips in the cafe too. Tresaithe beach is also worth a visit where you can get a nice meal at the Ship inn.We also spent a morning Dolphin watching at New Quay Harbor where there were many of them, I just couldn’t resist the fresh cockles there which were beautiful. We also tried several different places to eat a mixture of sit downs and takeaways. Yasmins and Nawar Indian restaurants in Newcastle Emlyn were both very nice but Nawar was our favourite. We also had food in The three horse shoes. Sunday lunch was lovely and we went there again later in the week for a bar meal which again was great. This pub is also dog friendly and the staff there are very friendly and helpful. I recommend that you go there on an empty stomach as the portions we had were very hearty and the fish pie was beautiful. I think it’s great that the pubs in this area allow you to take your dog and even have a water bowl outside for them, top marks

The cottage itself was amazing, a proper home from home, all the facilities were great, very comfy bed, excellent shower and bathroom, beautiful kitchen area with everything you needed. Cosy living/dining area, exceptionally clean and fantastic value for money, Chris and Clare were great hosts, lovely welcome on arrival and the fresh cake and milk on arrival was beautiful, their fresh eggs they had for sale are a must buy, we also enjoyed the games room on site where you can enjoy a game of darts, ping pong or pool. They also had books and DVD free of charge to watch in your cottages. Walking the fields around the cottages collecting blackberries and nuts on our walks was very nice. We highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely be returning next year. We thoroughly recommend these outstanding cottages, a little gem of West Wales ♥️

Well what can i say. What a really useful and heartwarming review that is. The area certainly is stunning, we are lucky to be placed right in the middle, with so much so close by of all varieties! Its so nice to know that guests find the cottages a home from home and of course cleanliness is extremely important but we always want our guests to be comfortable, not frightened to relax. The little games room has certainly bought out a competitive streak amongst partners and families and its so lovely to hear people having fun!
We look forward to seeing you soon
