We booked for the Rodella through Inghams ten months early, and everything looked fine. Till now, five months later. We've been bumped by the hotel so that they can accommodate some film crew or other! This is not good practice at all and we feel thoroughly let down. Don't trust this bunch!

Room tip: Don't go there, choose another hotel who will honour your booking!

I travelled with Inghams to this really good family run hotel. Friendly welcoming atmosphere. All the staff were smiling and helpful. My single room was clean and spacious. The food was the highlight, it was the quality I would expect from a more expensive restaurant. There was a fast and regular minibus service to and from the main ski gondalas, so no waiting around.

Room tip: All rooms I saw seemed god with excellent views.

We, two families with kids ( 12,13 and 15 yrs) stayed a fantastic week and everything about this very nice family hotell is what one can ask for. Excellent service, nice ambience, clean and spacious rooms etc. The Planker family with staff really know the meaning of "good service". We always like to go to new places and try new hotels but for this hotel we can definitely consider to make an exception and Val Gardena is a superb region and we still have more to explore there. All the best to George with family and staff/ Agneta & Johan

We stayed in Jan 2017 for a skiing holiday booked with Inghams. We were the only british guests and native English speakers. This is a lovely family run hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner and his wife speak excellent English and we did not feel left out even though the other guests were all Italian or German/Austrians, The whole hotel is very clean and despite being charming, with the usual alpine decorations, it was also modern and everything looks new and is well maintained. There is nothing shabby or worn here! Our room was spacious, we had our son in our room on a put up bed and there was still room to move about, we had a balcony with a view of the mountains. The only improvement would have been an additional set of drawers rather than the table and chairs, as with all the extra ski gear we were a bit short of drawer space. However it was more spacious than similar rooms we have stayed in Switzerland and France. The shower room was very spacious and clean, hot water always available. The food was generally good and sometimes excellent. Every evening meal began with a fabulous buffet, with a great choice of salads, meats or fish. I loved it. There was then a choice of starter and main course. We generally enjoyed most of these, our son has recently become a non meat eater and is a bit of fuss pot about food and sometimes he struggled a bit. But the staff were helpful and he had pasta with tomato sauce if he really couldn't find anything he liked. Breakfast was the usual continental choices of cereals/ croissants/cakes/ cheese/hams and fruit. Everything was of good quality and plenty of choice and decent tea!!
The ski room was great, plenty of space and storage and again clean and warm. The hotel provides a courtesy mini bus that takes you into Selva and drops off at the main lifts. Sometimes there were more guests than spaces and people had to wait for the next run but generally that was no problem. Coming back the mini bus would pick up at 15/20 min intervals between 4.00 and 5.30. Again sometimes you had to wait for more than one bus but generally it was fine. The hotel had a excellent spa/wellness suite. There was a sauna area with 2 different saunas, warm and hot and a large whirlpool bath. As well as relaxing beds etc. This was well used but was always working and clean, even though there were a large group of Italian children that used it too! The hotel provided robes, if you are thinking of using it don't forget your flip flops! My husband did!! Selva is attractive and charming, good cafes/ shops/bakeries and bars. Mountain restaurants also very good and noticeably cheaper than ski resorts in France. The only disappointment was that there was no natural snow at all. The pistes were open with extensive use of snow cannons and all the lifts were open and well run but it wasn't quite the winter wonderland you expect from a ski holiday. The snow began to fall as we were leaving, (jan 7th). We would definitely go back both to the Rodella and to Selva but we would be checking the snow conditions more carefully and perhaps delay booking until we were certain of the snowfall. The Dolomites are beautiful and my son and husband also skied the Marmolade (?) Glacier and the "Hidden" Valley on trips supplied by Inghams which were both excellent and I long to return and do them myself. ( I had a fall and couldn't ski!!) The Hotel were very helpful when I hurt my knee and gave me ice bags etc. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

This is our favourite hotel and we thoroughly recommend it. The family and staff are so lovely and welcoming that we were not surprised to find on this visit (Christmas 2016) no fewer than five families we had met there before - two Italian, two German and another English couple.
As ever, we had a spacious, comfortable room with a lovely view, excellent food and the whole place is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.
George, the owner, is a perfectionist who seems to have improved something every time we go - This time a new ski and boot room, more parking, an extension to the dining room and an improved games room.
It is some distance from the main centre but the hotel provides transport to and from the pistes.
