Whether you are skiing or hiking, this is the place to stay in the Dolomites. Nestled just on the edge of St. Christina Val Gardena, this is a truly a five star accommodation with the obvious warmth of a family run enterprise who take great pride in looking after you. The hosts go out of their way to assist you: from transportation, to getting you outfitted in sports equipment, to your daily needs at the hotel and recommendations of local entertainment. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The spa was exquisite with enough facilities and staff to look after a variety of your needs. All of the food was delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. Leo's knowledge and recommendations of local wines and liqueurs (always given with his panache and humour) were a delight to sample. We have travelled extensively over the last 25 years (Europe/North America/Indonesia/Caribbean/Central America) and nowhere have we found this level of excellent hospitality and customer service delivered in a family like environment. Thank you to families Mussner and Insam for making our visit to Italy so memorable. - Rocky and Debra

Exactly what you need!
The position is on the main road, very well connected with ski buses to any direction you want to go to ski.
Rooms are quiet, comfortable and spacious.
Friendly hosts strive to make your stay to be remembered.
Food is excellent, fresh, various and delicious.
Nice spa area with four different saunas, two swimming pool, outdoor whirlpool, water beds and rest rooms is exactly what you need after whole day skiing Sellaronda!
No single complains.
Congratulations!

The only thing worth to mention is the Spa, besides that is just an overpriced Hotel in the Dolomites as many others, nothing special. The Management is completely unhelpful and not friendly. We asked (twice) for a particular type of room (available on the web) but we didn't even get a reply. Although we paid a pretty high rate for the double room (250 EUR/day/half board), Internet was not included, that was surprising specially nowadays so we had to buy it, they would only offer 3 or 7 days internet deal so if you stay 5 or 8 you are pretty much screwed. On top of that the connection was the worst ever and we ended up not using Internet because the signal was very, very weak (there was no signal in the restaurant, I don’t care much about it but just to mention it).

The rooms were clean ish.....found a long, long hair in the toilet the second day.

First day we asked if the car was ok parked outside in front of the hotel and were told it wasn't and recommended to park inside paying the correspondent fee, it turned out everyone was parking outside with no problem.

The food is pretty poor, thank God there was a buffet so we could stuffed ourselves most of the days as dinner was awful, funny you need to pick what you'll be having for dinner while you are having breakfast, never seen anything like that before.........

All in all an overpriced hotel that I wouldn't recommend to anyone as you have loads where to pick in the area with the same type of features, nicer management and staff and better prices.

Had a lovely weeks stay at the Diamant which is half way between Ortesi and Santa Christina. The hotel staff really went out of their way to be friendly and accomodating. Food was so plentiful we would have been banned from flying if we ate it all. Great quality and the recommended wines were good too never mind the extensive cellar.
Once you learn that getting home by skibus is required (you get lift from the hotel in mornings) you get to ski thousands of km of pistes from a great location. Good spa, great food, professional friendly staff and decent rooms for a very reasonable price.

We honeymooned here in Jan 09 after finding the property through an independent website and reading reviews on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed! After a fairly long journey we had a wonderful welcome at reception, a very quick check in and good service from the porter. The staff were friendly throughout our stay. There were some communication issues (they speak Italian & German fluently but we were a bit limited!), but we got by.
The honeymoon suite - wow. It's an enormous room and about four times larger than you normally get in a ski resort. Beautifully equipped. Corner whirlpool bath in its own room, obviously new, but it does make the bathroom opposite look a bit dated. Very comfortable furniture and the room was warm with a nice view up the valley side.
The hotel has its own heated ski room with boot warmers. Excellent facility and accesible right from the front of the hotel without having to go through reception. The Val Gardena ski bus has a stop right outside the hotel and runs every 10-15 mins at peak time. Be careful though, its very rare around lunchtime if you fancy a late start! Alternatively the hotel has its own shuttle bus operated in the morning and afternoon between the main lift areas. We used this a few times but preferred the buses because they were more frequent and there exactly when we needed them.
The food in the hotel is typical south tyrol and very good. Drinks were expensive, but what you would expect for a hotel of this calibre and in this location. The spa facility in the hotel is lovely. We're not spa connoisseurs but this was an extensive facility which has clearly had a lot of investment.
Overall a very enjoyable stay in a hotel that caters for everyone. For parties with the budget for 4* hotels then this will not disappoint in the magnificent sella ronda/dolomites region.
