We visited San Pellegrino on a Tuesday, and more than 80% of the town's businesses were closed. However, Il Baretto was open, where we had lunch. We ate outside with a lovely view of the river and Grand Hotel on the other side. The staff we dealt with managed with our hardly any Italian and their limited English but we managed fine.Lunch was salad or pannini, but freshly made so very nice. And of course our drinks were San Pellegrino-what else? Prices were fair- 12.50 euros for 2. And a plus, it is located near a fantastic gellato place, and the bus stop to get back to Bergamo! All in all, a great find.
