Fantastic food. Great service. Very reasonably priced. Very busy and popular with the locals. A little out of the city centre but worth the visit.

Reggio never disappoints ... definitely in the kitchen. Restaurant recommended by friends. Menu on a chalkboard rich in local dishes ... interpreted. Starters with Gnocco Fritto at the top. Although I am enticed by Cappellacci and Tortelli I try the fate on a main courses of spelled with leeks, pumpkin and balsamic vinegar ... I have a delicious surprise ... exquisite. Sweet cake and even a simple Mascorpone with chocolate flakes ... it is highly recommended. So .. so ... I'll surely come go back

Nothing to say... it is the best traditional emilia food in Reggio Emilia.
From the appetizer to the perfect cooking of the meat and the delicious desserts.
Congratulations also to the staff, very skillfully.

I was looking for a real local food from local ingredients, and I got it from there!
Very tasty tortellini and meat!
And the staff was kind and friendly.

We were going to be near Reggio Emilia around dinner time yesterday and I took a quick look at what Trip Advisor had to suggest. Chilometro Zero caught my attention as neither of us had ever eaten locally in the area. The reviews all sounded great and it was not far off the A1 so we could get to our destination later in the evening. I called and made a reservation (it was only 30 minutes in advance), but I'm glad I did as the restaurant was busy and only got busier after we sat down! At first glance, I thought we might be in trouble as I am a lover of horses (to ride).... and saw several dishes with horse (cavallo) on the menu. We paused wondering if this was a place for us, but I encouraged my husband to look beyond those dishes and focus on other items. We started with a shared antipasti ~ various meats and a couple of special "bites" - one I believe was with bietola (kind of like spinach) and the other was a mix with a variety of veggies including beets! Loved them both! Also, the antipasti was served with a "different" bread. This was a fried bread which was especially tasty with the various meats, better than just using the traditional bread to my mind. We shared a primi which was delish ~ sweet onions, pancetta and pecorino cheese! Oh my! But the best was yet to come! Steering clear of anything "cavallo" I took a chance on the "roast pork". Wasn't sure what I was going to get, probably a pork chop or something. When the plate came I was bit confused as the shape was different than a chop....then the penny dropped and I realized what I had has pork ribs! Falling off the bone, moist, delicious pork ribs! Very good. Very very good indeed! I'm not much of a desert person, I'm more of an after-dinner drink person. Now my husband had an apple cake, which I tasted, and will tell you it was very moist and delicious. I was tickled when our waiter brought over 4 interesting looking bottles for a taste. This was not the typical lemoncello, etc. These four were all combinations of interesting herbs and fruits...I went for a taste of the two yellow ones ~ don't ask me to tell you the names! One other worthy mention is to the people. When we were looking like we were having second thoughts about the menu, the waiter was so friendly and polite...as they all were, frankly! You really got a sense that they enjoy the food they serve and enjoy the people who come to their place! Thanks for a wonderful dinner on our way south! Will remember this meal for a while!
