“Magnificent end to a trip to the coast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2012

After two weeks of site seeing and travel I spent 3 nights with Tony, Raff and Leo, the brothers who run this small but extremely welcoming hotel. My room was large, with a balcony with magnificent views across the bay and to Minori. The building may be a 13th century convent, but the facilities are modern and first class. Remarkably for such a small operation the restaurant has a well deserved reputation for excellence, and this was proved to be correct.

I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Quality, location, views, value for money and especially service all great. Whether reading in the garden, taking a quite easy walk to Villa Rufolo or Villa Cimbrone, or just having a drink with other guests made this a truely relaxing end to my trip.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Parsifal hotel for three nights in April. This hotel is uniquely positioned on the side of the mountain and overlooks the sea. The rooms are small but visitors are compensated by the many other features of the hotel. For two nights we had the superb good fortune to have a room with a small balcony with an amazing view, We wanted to walk/hike in the area and Antonio was able to provide us with information on two memorable hikes. Antonio and his staff are fabulous hosts.

Room Tip: Try to book a room with a balcony overlooking the sea.

This is a truly charming hotel. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Antonio (one of the brothers in the family running the hotel) usually mans the desk. Our room (standard double) was small, but meticulously clean. The bed was comfortable. The sea view was spectacular. The restaurant serves very good food. The presentation is not fancy, but the food is freshly prepared and tastes great! For those with celiac disease, there is always a gluten-free set of choices on the menu. The restaurant has a front wall of glass doors giving one of the best views available of the Amalfi coast. The hotel can arrange for a driver to pick you up at Salerno or Naples train station. Salerno is much smaller and it’s easier for your driver to find you. Salvatore runs a driver service in Ravello (Salvatore@ravellotaxi.com). He gives a very extensive and entertaining narrative along the spectacular drive to the hotel. The drive is not for amateurs—it is, at best, a 1 and one half lane road with cars parked on one side, buses and trucks traveling in both directions, and many hair-pin turns over the ocean cliffs.

The brothers who run the hotel could not have been more charming and helpful. The garden and the view were beautiful. If we return to Ravello this would absolutely without question be the place we would stay. Contact them direct and the rates might be even better than the excellent value they offer on booking sites! Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so memorable.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view or terrace. Some rooms are recently renovated, some are authentic and charming.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure to stay for 4 wonderful nights at Hotel Parsifal. The room (#29 I believe) was beautiful and had it's own private terrace with table and chairs. What a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the incredible view! Antonio and his brother Leonardo, along with the rest of the hotel staff could not have been more enjoyable. We also had a fabulous dinner the first night we stayed, which was delicious! The breakfast is very nice which includes very good pastries! I would highly recommend this hotel during a visit to the lovely town of Ravello. It's conveniently located and is in a very quiet area.

Room Tip: Ask for room 29 (I believe that's it)...the room with the private terrace.....wonderful!!!!
