Ok, first of all... if you are driving to this B&B take the road to Nocelle and go till the road ends. Then STOP and do not drive in that area again until you leave.

OK, now about the B&B. The hosts were very nice there, they weren't as available to talk or give advice as I would have liked, but they were very very nice. The room was again, nice. It was kind of "rugged" but clean and the view was astonishing. The breakfast was alright & the cappuccino was tasty. The B&B sits above a farm, this being said there is a farm smell, and farm sounds that you hear regularly. The rooster crows around 5, then again at 630, then again around 7. There is a constant "burning" smell as well as a cow smell. It didn't overly bother us because we live in Wisconsin and that is common for us to smell, but I could see how it would be irritating to city-folk.

There were 2 restaurants, one was a pizza place and the other a more formal indoor place. I DO NOT recommend the pizza place. It wasn't good. We loved the other though, and wished we went there for all of our meals. We did the walk of the gods and it was utterly amazing. I would do it all again, except for the part where we took the wrong turn and ended up going down about 1000 god-created steps to get to Priano.

I give MUCH credit to the bus drivers for their trek up and down the mountain in the giant busses. I would recommend taking the bus up and down to avoid being SO SWEATY when you visit Positano at the bottom.

With all that said, I would def stay here again, now that I know what I know.

IN ADVANCE: THIS PLACE IS GREAT.
BUT Keep in mind:
The journey with the minibus up to Nochelle, and to the house is crazy.
The bus run hourly daytime, in the evening 2 hours. The ride is quite long (25 minutes). We were frightened and scared. / only the first time :-) / And worried if we can catch it in time.
In that case, you are with ( heavy ) luggage, and not with backpack, the walk to the house is difficult due to hundreds of steps.

Overall:
Clean, nice rooms
Beautiful view from the balcony and terrace as well
Friendly and helpful host
Breakfast was ok
Good price
Countryside feeling ( dogs, cats, cocks)
Nice walk down to Positano ( 45 minutes), but dont try backwards.
Positano, Amalfi and ravello beautiful.

Good stay!

La Quercia is perfect for romantic travelers. If you want a a quiet location with wonderful view over Positano, this is the place. It is a price: few stairs with a total of 150 steps from the parking of the village to the house. But the host are kindly and they can transport your luggage with a little caterpillar. The rooms are clean and the bed very comfortable. The view from the balcony over the Positano village and the sea are amazing.

Room Tip: for the view, ask the upper rooms

Villa la Quercia has the most amazing view we have ever had! From our balcony I made a 'timelapse' movie of the sunrise on Positano. Check it on:

We had a quiet and comfortable room and the people at the B&B are very friendly. Nocelle is a very small and relaxing village and the short bus trip is a tourist tour in itself with beautifull views.

My wife and I along with another couple stayed here for 6 nights and could never get enough of the view. We read about the posible difficulties with the steps, distance from the car park, and the method of payment and were somewhat concerned prior to booking. All of those concerns dissapeared once we opened two bottles of beer and a bottle of wine on the balcony.
If you are overweight, out of shape, or have difficulty getting around, this is not the place for you. If you are bored and tired of staying at a traditional hotel, you'll love this experience.
The Inn was everything described in previous reviews, the village gives a true "Italy" feel, and you will say to yourself "I thought staying in Italy was going to be expensive". When we spoke with people staying in Positano, they all wished they were looking down at the town rather than looking up at the mountains. Depending on the place you stay, you could find yourself looking at somebody else's laundry. You will not have to worry about your view here.
The pizza restaraunt talked about earlier does indeed have some of the nicest views in the world. We were welcomed like family and ate there 5 nights at 5 different tables and had 5 different experiences, whether it's the owner singing, the different views or the effort put forth by the owners to ensure a memorable meal.
The walk of gods is a real hike that one has to be ready for. Flip flops and sandles won't cut it, your hiking on a real hiking trail.
The bus works great and is a show in itself. Waiting for the bus in Positano, I would always have a large Peroni beer to prep myself up for the ride up.
We rented a car and were glad we did. We didn't always use it but when we had it, we didn't have to worry about which bus to take to get to wherever we were going. I was hesitant about it at first but if your a good driver in North America, you'll become a better driver in Italy.
All in all, we loved our stay in Nocelle and after seeing all the other towns in the area, were glad we chose that one.
