We enjoyed our stay very much. Yes positano is difficult to reach and yes it has many stairs down to the beach, but the views are breathtaking from up here!

The breakfast was delivered promptly at the time requested, the shower was refreshing and our luggage was even brought up to our room.

The only downside is that the shuttle bus wasn't running, and during late may, I wasnt expecting that. It's a big climb so put your walking shoes on!

You can not control the air condition from the room. You need to call reception. Ask in advance for the parking price. There are no public parking around. And the hotel over charge for parking. Even for small car. Do not get there recommendation for restaurant. They are in contact with 2 restaurant. We have tried one and it was not good!

My wife and I were only able to stay here for one night, but we wished we could have stayed longer. We drove the Amalfi coast & stayed here on our way through. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The staff are very helpful & courteous. We would definitely stay again! Make sure to get a room with the sea view.

The view from our balcony room on the second floor was beautiful. The room and hotel were very clean, very well presented and modern. The location was very good and just arond the corner from a bus stop down and back up from the main part of Positano. The staff were very freindly and helpful. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed our stay very much... the only probelm was that we couln't stay longer. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed for 3 nights in May 2012 and absolutely adored this hotel!!
We came to Positano from Siena. We took the train to Naples and then a small train called the Circumvesuviana to Pompeii where we stashed our bags and toured the ruins. We emailed extensively back and forth with the hotel prior to the trip about the best way to get to Positano from Pompeii. They offered many suggestions and did offer to have someone pick us up for 70 euros from Pompeii when we were done seeing the site. We arranged ahead of time for this option. The driver was a very nice man (didn't speak english but was very kind) and would even pause at beautiful views along the drive so that we could take pictures.
When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the hotel staff (they don't speak english well but are very kind) and were shown to our room. Our room was GORGEOUS! We had a huge terrace overlooking positano and the room was spacious and clean. Yes, the room is a bit of a hike up from the city center but it does make for some amazing sunset views overlooking the town itself, which is just amazing.
The following day, we met Daniela. She works at the front desk and speaks english very well. She gave us some great tips on things to do in Positano and was friendly and courteous. The hotel was able to give us some recommendations for restaurants. One night we ate at a place they recomended, which was tasty, but not our favorite meal. I suggest finding other restaurants in the area (lonely planet and Rick Steve's had some good recs).
Breakfast was standard italian hotel breakfast fare that consisted of a croissant, yoghurt, jam, and a cappucino or espresso. What really made the breakfast outstanding though was the ability to eat it on our terrace overlooking the ocean each morning!!
Daniela was very helpful with timetables for trains and ferries out of the area. She helped us to reserve a private boat trip to Capri. Unfortunately, the excursion got cancelled because of some choppy seas so she helped us to sort out which ferries were going where and we still ended up having a lovely day on Capri afterall.
On the day we were leaving, we had to take a ferry to Salerno so we could catch a train to Rome. Daniela helped us look up timetables. The hotel then gave us a ride down to the center of town so we wouldn't have to drag our bags all the way to the center! We were so happy we took a picture with Daniela at the end of our stay.
Basically, we are dreaming of returning to Positano soon and would be more than happy to return to this friendly, clean, and beautiful hotel.

Room Tip: Splurge on a ocean view room. You won't be disappointed!
