We were there on the last open day of the 2017 season. The beach facilities were sub-par, and the service was less than minimal. Maybe the workers were anticipating the off-season. Whatever the reason, no one seemed to care about customer service. The food, however, was completely delicious and worth the trip if you can get them to answer the phone to get a reservation. You can't get on the shuttle boat without a reservation.

We absolutely had the very best time and the best food at this FUN, fun, fun location on the beach. Wear your swimsuit and flip flops! Gravel floors and painted penises are the decor. Animated, friendly waiters and superbly fresh seafood expertly cooked give this place its warm charm. We stayed for 5 hours and ate and drank and became friends with the staff for the afternoon. Grilled octopus was the best I have ever put in my mouth! Gorgeous views down the coast. Call ahead for reservations as there are limited tables, and you must take a water taxi to get there. We loved it!

I had read about this restaurant and we tried to make reservations (Which are a must) but could not get through. Our “Rosita” at the Miramare hotel in Positano was able to get us in. I was so excited. You take a small boat with the red fish on it to the restaurant and you must have a reservation to get a chair on the beach- then we ate and the boat goes back around 3:30- so you are there for the afternoon. They have drinks if you want and it is fun to just sit back and relax after dinner. I had the fresh mozzarella on a lemon leaf and it was super tasty -also had a salad. My husband had the mussels in tomato sauce and he loved them. This is an experience that few people get to do so it is definitely worth it. taking the small boat over and back was a treat to see the scenery. It’s only about a 15 minute ride if you do not like small boats as I do not. It was just fine. I believe they are only open for lunch and can only accomodate so many so be sure to reserve. restrooms were clean!! The menu is on a chalk board so you need to go up to the board and look at it then they come to your table to take your order.

One word: amazing! The seafood is incredible. When you book make sure you reserve a bed and table. We thought reserving a table would mean that automatically a bed would also be included but this is not the case. We arrived on a small boat which picked us up from Positano port and arrived there at about 11am (the boat comes every half hour). Just email them or get your hotel to call a few days before you go as it gets busy. The only unfortunate thing is the day beds are in the shade till after 12:30ish so we found ourselves sitting on the rocks to the side of the beach till after lunch anyway. Get on the boat back to your destination around 3:30 as you might find yourself waiting in line!
