We spent three nights here in April and this is of one of my favorite hotels in the countryside of Montepulciano. Villa Cicolina is a gem! Just a few minutes drive from the hilltown city centre; the villa, food, grounds and staff are all exceptional! We were greeted warmly and taken to our gorgeous suite. Everyone was so lovely and accommodating. This beautiful Villa is well located, unique and quite affordable.
We stayed in the il Balcone Suite with a large sitting room (sofa, chairs, desk, tea set and even a piano), master bedroom with king bed and full (large) bathroom. This is a great option for a special visit. The views of the countryside were lovely in the morning.
The breakfast was extensive (meats, fresh fruit, egg cooker (where you can boil your own eggs to preference), breakfast cakes, croissants, yogurt, cells, toast, scrambled eggs, juices and -of course- cappuccino or coffee/tea to order). We enjoyed a lovely dinner there on one evening and found it to be a good value and excellent food. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to simply stay and relax and enjoy the sitting areas both indoor and out.
