Beautiful buildings which house the famous Spa. The entry charge is EU 6, but all you get is a walk around the buildings and gardens and a drink of spring water, which is quite sulphuric. The gardens have been somewhat abandoned and could do with some serious restoration, but you can get glimpses of what they once were.

Spent a few hours here on a sunny afternoon and enjoyed a quiet drink in the lovely garden. The building is very impressive and ornate and the gadens are beautiful to walk around. There are a few shops on the site but we didn't have any interest in these.
Would highly recommend visiting this place if in the area. The surrounding park is also excellent for chilling.

We visited the spa today, entry is €6/person just to look around and drink the spa spring water. It has an interesting taste but I can't say I feel any younger after drinking it. The areas of the spa you are allowed to see for your €6 ticket are beautiful however you are not allowed to see the baths available to swim in without paying €13/person which was disappointing as I am sure not everyone has the time to swim. Even more disappointing is the lack of information on the spa itself and its history, maybe a Tuscany guide book might help but we didn't have one. We returned to the ticket office to ask for some information and we're reluctantly given a small leaflet which actually told us very little of its history! The Italians could easily attract more visitors if it was run properly! The visit did pass a pleasant afternoon and the sun was shining.

Had some spare time and thought we would pass it here although we did not expect too much. How surprised we were to find such lovely buildings and magnificent gardens. The Spa itself is almost incidental - the grounds and buildings are the stars. There is also a very good café at reasonable prices.
For an entry fee of 6 euros it is well worthwhile.

A very pleasant site, baths, park, cafe. Ticket available only for a walk, as well. Great for a relaxed stop on the day tour, when coming down the hills.
