Although I have rated this restaurant as 'very good', for me it sits more on a 'good only' level. The reasons for this are as follows:
Staying at the hotel, dined here on several occasions and each time similar issues arose. There was usually only or two people to serve you...by that I mean one main person to take bookings/show guests to tables/get menus/take drinks and food orders/clear tables and get bills + serve at the hotel bar in between times. In my opinion, to offer a really good service this is not enough by way of staff, as delays happened inevitably.
The food.....generally the standard of food was good, however, and I don't know if this is a particular Italian thing, but often the food, which was supposed to be hot, was warm or cold......served on cold plates too. Sometimes, the main food item would be hot, and, say the sides - vegetables would be cold. The salt baked fish tasted very nice, but as a dish for minimum 2 people, what was left after filleting was a tiny morsel, charged at 24 Euros PER PERSON.....and of course a side of cold vegetables.
At the bar, if you wanted a glass of something, there was no drinks list.....you had to ask for what you wanted and then to be told how much it would be. Also, by the glass, the choice of wine was red or white. No selection of blended varieties or single grape, just 'house' whatever that was. Not having a price list, on ordering a second round of drinks the same as the first, the bar attendant tried to charge more for second round than the first!
Yes the restaurant has a lovely pool side setting, but also what spoiled the ambiance was the incessant 'musak' during the meals.....with so much lovely Italian music to choose from why play this mindless drone constantly?!
I got the distinct impression this place was running on a very limited budget as regards staffing......breakfast at the hotel was the same...most days running out of set tables/food and coffee.
This is not what a good 4 star offering looks like, nor an upmarket restaurant.....sort out some of the above issues, and maybe then you have something closer to a classy high end restaurant.

An elegant atmosphere dining close to the magic swimming pool.
Such a delicious dinner, starting with Quinoa salad, chicken rise and asparagus then a new version of Cheesecake!
A special restaurant for people who like fresh and special food!

There is no doubt that this is one of the best restaurants in the area and one of the few offering fine dining.
It is so peaceful and beautiful and elegant, eating around the swimming pool.
My aubergine starter and fillet of beef were exquisite. The quality of the produce is very high.
This would have been a five star reviews except for rather distant service. We had little attention during the meal to make sure everything was okay.
There was a slight error with the deserts where I believe we may have been given those from another table.
This simply should not be happening in a restaurant of this calibre.
We will certainly be going back to this restaurant because we loved it and we will hope for more personal attention.

From the moment you step in and are greeted by the Maitre D, to the moment you leave, the service could not be more pleasant. Well dressed tables either beside the pool, on the terrace or inside. Menu that is full of interesting options and reasonably priced, plus lots of extras provided to nibble between courses and an extensive wine list. Really classy place to go if you want a special meal out.
