Collected by the driver, who was friendly and full of joy.
You get dropped off by an alleyway which leads along the river to the beech.
Pirata is a left turn behind the first bar.
Nice welcome, shown to our pre booked beds.
Its an idea to book a table for lunch before you go to the sunbeds as it will give you a choice of timeslot. Was very busy around .1:30pm.
The beech is ok but stoney, the water is lovely to swim and snorkle in as there are plenty of rocks and fish to see.
Hired a 1 seat canoe €6 for an hour, pretty reasonable.
Lunch was a little disappointing due to little effort to explain what the special dishes were on the chalk board placed on our table. We did ask and the waiter pointed at his colleague who we asumed would explain but he just gave us a standard menu which had the normal everyday dishes on.
Shame as I had heard the food was really good here.
A little more customer care from the restaurant staff and this place would be highly recommended. The beech staff are great as is the guy who manages the place, very organised.
Tell the bar staff when you would like to go and your driver will pick you up where he dropped you off.
Would certainly visit again.

We used this beach on 3 occasions as we got a discounted price through the hotel Daphne where we were staying. The prices was 8 Euro's per person and included a use of a sunbed and umbrella. The beach is easily accessible about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The restaurant serves very good food and is moderately priced, the staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is being hassled by the many sellers who frequent the beach area, however a polite refusal seemed to resolve this. I would definitely recommend a visit.

We were provided with discount vouchers for this beach from our hotel. It was a nice quiet beach apart from Sundays when frequented by all the locals! The sun beds included inflatable pillows and we also hired umbrellas. Although it was a stoney beach it was good for swimming as the water was very calm and refreshing with showers to wash off. The restaurant and snack bar were good, especially the bruschetta which was excellent for lunch. Watch out for the lookee lookee sellers who frequent all the beaches in the area!

I hope this is the right place as there were two restaurants next to one another, but the one we raved about was the Pirata beach bar, however the photos are correct.

The food here is special - not like many of other restaurants. There is always a queue. The menu is limited, always fresh and take the recommendations of the Maitre D. Fantastic. The tuna with onions dish I had was just divine. Best place we found.

This beach was recommended to us by our hotel at a discounted rate. €7 per day for 2 umbrellas and sunbeds was excellent value. The beach is stony, which may not be to everyone’s taste, but for me who loves swimming in clear azure, slightly wavy water it was heaven! My swims on that beach were among the best I’ve ever had. The beach was not overly crowded and many of the punters were locals, all of which added to its appeal. The restaurant is also great – the tomato bruschette are delicious if only a snack is required whilst for something more substantial I can recommend the risotto al pesce and the fritto misto – as good as anything you’ll get in town. The guys running it are really friendly and nice. Just remembering it makes me want to go back – really fantastic!
