This is a delightfully well equipped property ( proper stove, washing machine etc) right in the centre of Erice. It does not have a view itself, but you just have to step outside and stroll a little to see miles in every direction. Sergio was very helpful in showing us where to park, buy food, go to restaurants etc. (It seems that he is married to a Brit and so even our rather random Italian was not called for). Erice is also a wonderful place to retreat to from the towns and coast below. There is only one real snag, for which Sergio can take no responsibility. For self-catering purposes, you really have to make the long twisty descent to Valderice or Trapani to shop. There is no real supplier of ordinary goods in Erice itself. It just requires a bit of planning.
The house is tucked away in a quiet cobbled side road just 2 minutes away from the main square. Sergio the owner was very helpful in meeting us and taking us to the house, giving recommendations as to restaurants and what to see and anything else that was asked. The property is well equipped and extremely attractively laid out. We would very much recommend the property with the outside space. Sitting there with your own wine, pastries and food from the local cafes and shops was nicer than sitting outside any cafe
There was a small amount of echoing between the 2 apartments but for 4 nights from 11 to at least 7 in the morning all we had was peace and silence. Erice is.
