We’ve visited several times over the last ten years. Always friendly, always exquisite paninis made to order. The focaccine (thin, crispy focaccia) is as good snack as any. Well worth a visit if you need a snack or a to-go-lunch. I miss this shop and its owners when I’m not in Castellina.

This deli and small store has very tasty and high-quality sandwiches at good prices, and the customer service is very friendly. It is a great stop when you're out sightseeing! We sat on the church steps in the same square as the shop and enjoyed people-watching while eating our sandwiches. The entire experience was pleasant and memorable thanks to this cute store.

Quite the statement to make about the mid-morning snack that was made at this grocery, but it WAS, probably, the best "sandwich" I have ever had, from the first bite to the last. The Pecorino Toscano cheese was meltingly fresh, as were both the drizzle of local olive oil and the pinch of salt on the freshly-baked focaccia, and, lastly, the just-picked sprig of rosemary that I tucked into the middle. I was in heaven over its earthiness, freshness and melding burst of flavors. So, if my wonderful eating experience is any example of perfection, then the rest of the colorful and beautifully arranged fruits and vegetables outside, as well as the meats and cheeses displayed in the inside cases of this small-town grocery can and should be enjoyed.
