“Quintessential Tuscan Villa”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Our third time in as many years with the experience getting better and better each time. Rustic yet elegant Tuscan villa. Easy-going, gracious hosts who happen to make world-class olive oil and home-cooked meals. Convenient base from which to explore. Stunning grounds, pool & terrace. There is a reason this villa gets so many returning guests.

“Magical”
Reviewed 7 January 2014 for a stay in June 2013

Our hosts were spectacular at making us feel right at home. The views were captivating and sitting out at sunset with a glass of wine at the end of a long day with the other house guests was something to look forward to every evening. Breakfast was homemade every morning with fresh breads and juice. When we go back to visit this area this is where we will be staying.

“Fabulous Dream Property”
Reviewed 27 November 2013 for a stay in June 2013

Villa Patrignone was just beautiful! What everyone dreams of when they think of an Italian Villa. Verity and Simon were so friendly and helpful with local suggestions on what to see, when to see it, and how best to get there. Their rooms were delightfully decorated and so comfortable. We shared a kitchen which was huge and had all the amenities you could ask for. You'll want to go back to Villa Patrignone again and again!

“The best way to stay in Tuscany.”
Reviewed 31 August 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Patrignone was an unforgettable experience. I was in love with it as soon as I arrived. I felt like I was living in history while having the time of my life. The villa was a little rustic but very comfortable for 14 of us. The kitchen was the perfect gathering place. The grounds were beautiful with a welcoming terrace to meet other guests and a beautiful view of rolling Tuscan hills. The gardens and grounds were lovely to explore - don't miss the koi pond. The owners were fun, lovable, and helpful. Don't miss the weekly dinner at the villa for all the guests - a great time and the food was excellent. The only things that kept me from rating it excellent are the so-so stove and the lack of adequate lighting in the bedrooms. But don't let that stop you - bring a book light and who wants to cook everyday on vacation.

Management Response

Thank you very much for the lovely review! And I should say we're reviewing all the lighting at Podere Patrignone this winter (our experiment with low-energy LED lights hasn't been entirely successful), and the stove in Villa Patrignone will be replaced also. Thanks for the feedback!

“Tuscany at its best”
Reviewed 7 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

The service we received at the property was excellent , the host family setting the bar very high and maintaining it through our whole stay.Nothing was to much trouble and there was always someone at hand to assist.
The property itself was just a dream, from its funiture, architecture and surrounding olive trees it provides a unique ambience of life in Tuscany.
Set approximately halfway between Florence and Sienna it is ideal for taking day trips to visit the popular townships of the Tuscany region.
Interaction with other guests and the friendliness and warmth provided by Simon,Verity ,their extended family and staff gave us a perfect Tuscany experience. We will be back...
