This was my first trip to the Dolomites, I usually ski in France or Austria. Hotel Astoria helped to ensure that I had an excellent time.
Very helpful and friendly staff - whether it is the person at the front desk helping you decode the local bus timetables, or the staff in the restaurant taking the time to recommend a local wine to accompany your dinner.
I really enjoyed the food here, it is plentiful and of a really good standard. In addition to the evening meal, there is a huge breakfast and a cold buffet around 3pm. You really don't need to eat lunch if you stay at the Astoria.
The room was a good size, and I would describe it as adequate. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. The shower was a little cramped.
Very impressive sauna facilities, pool etc. This was very popular with the women in our group.More
