The hotel is perched in such a location that it has excellent view. There are many places around the back where you can relax and walk around to see the view.

Inside the hotel, it is very clean and well organized. The rooms (especially the bathrooms) are a bit small, so with a family with 1-2 kids, it would not be ideal unless you book 2 rooms. There is not really enough space to bring in a small bed for a child. The price was excellent at $65 a night due to the off-season. So, it was definitely a great sell given the price. There was also great sauna areas, but we didn't use this.

The staff was friendly, but they did not go out of their way to attend to needs. This was especially apparent in the restaurant.

Overall, I would recommend this place for the location, cleanliness, and price. Just understand that it is a small hotel with a fairly limited staff.

2nd time staying for family ski trip over half term.

Excellent food, conscientious staff and very close to a main very fast ski lift.

It's a really well laid out hotel, very warm and both modern and cozy at the same time

We had a very big room and a great view.

The ski lift is a 6 minute drive away ( with its own car park)

All in all a great stay.

All Val Pusteria is outstanding from many points of view: panorama, touristic organization, genuine and exellent food, kindness of the people.
"Amaten Hotel " is the top of all theese kind of exellencies. I went there many times but last year I saw improuvements that give it a style of more than the official 3*** honestly declared.
Prices are very low faceing with what they are able to give to hosts.
First class throuought !!!

È un albergo e ristorante veramente eccellente sia dal punto di vista del panorama , che per il trattamento professionale e gentilissimo ed i pasti ottimi e tipici della Val Pusteria.

Eccellente da tutti i punti di vista!!!

Travelling with 2 vegetarians in Tyrol is always challenging but this hotel really did a great job and had a pretty imaginative menu for us.

The food was always excellent, the staff really helpful and the hotel itself really nice. We booked one of the larger rooms in the new part and was pretty big, I can't vouch for the standard sizes but we really liked it.

It's spa facilities are really nice and it has kids playroom (a little small) with table football, a ball pit and even sock puppets which were great for very young children.

It's 8 mins from a main ski lift and I am likely to go back next year.

For hiking/touring the Italian Dolomites, Brunico is a perfect location. Hotel Amaten is superb in every way. Further, the views from the rooms and patio are stunning. Day trips to Innsbruch, Austria and Italian communities of Cortina d' Ampezzo, Bolzano, etc. are easy.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks Brunico.
