Unpretentious and friendly providing really good food at excellent value. We found ourselves unexpectedly in Ascoli Picena, and even more unexpectedly at a hotel outside the centro storico - tired and looking for somewhere close-by to eat. We were pointed here by our hotel and were delighted. Food was excellent - home cooking with talent and interest and using very good produce. Antipasto was terrific. Main meat course was good quality and generous size. Service was friendly and helpful, with food choices provided verbally by wait staff rather than from a written menu. Really good value - we each had an antipasto a meat dish, shared a salad, a litre of house wine (we had had that kind of day) and coffee for Euro 35. It's not flash but obviously popular with locals and if you don't want to be in the centro storico, you could not beat it.
