Came here 2 nights in a row. The mixed grill, & pasta was amazing. Simone & his colleagues was delightful.

The portions are bigger than average. Price is affordable and value for money. I don’t mind coming back. You should really give it a shot.

We stayed at the Minerva Hotel in October 2017 and part of the package was evening meal in this restaurant. We had already informed the tour organisers that we were vegetarians but this information did not appear to have reached the restaurant. Add to this that our party were only offered a set menu each evening when other diners had a free choice from a wider menu - then the scene was set for disaster.... I might add that previous package tours booked via the tour organiser had always offered a buffet (ie wide choice) - so we didn't expect the problems we encountered at the Minerva. One evening after we and several others had gently and politely complained, we were offered a plate of sliced cheese as our main course. This provoked a lot of anger on all sides - with one waiter in particular being very disrespectful towards another member of our party. The following evening they restaurant made an effort - and things were better for the veggies among us. Nevertheless, my advice would be to give this restaurant/hotel a wide birth. The attitude of staff towards the tour group frequently indicated they regarded us as second class citizens/residents. Tea/coffee at breakfast was generally cool to luke-warm. The scrambled eggs were disgusting - rubbery and cold. On the positive side, the fresh fruit and cereals were very good.

we enjoyed our meals in the restaurant, we ate from the set menu, we weren't disappointed with any meal, the wine was reasonable priced and local wine was very good. All the staff were excellent.
