“More temples”

If these are your first ruins of this type plan for several hours. It is a lovely location with terrific views. We walked the whole thing both directions and wished we had opted for a cab or the shuttle one way just to save us some time as we have visited numerous ruins in other countries of this type and felt like we wanted to get back out to experiencing Sicily.

“do it at night”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

If you're visiting in the summer, do it after July 16 and see the Temples at sunset. It's so much cooler, and we didn't find them worth sweating over. We appreciated them, but the 90 minute sunset tour was completely adequate, and you'll have a full day to do some other touring.

“Impressive area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

The dorian temples in the Valle dei Templi are well preserved and it is absolutely worth going there and to take some time to walk through the park. The temples are impressive seen from a distance and even more when you come closer. If you are in the South of sicily it is a must see. You have to be able to walk fairly long distances in particular when come with your own car and have to go all the way back.

First time impression: Greece have placed most of her temples in Sicily - who would imagine. But it´s true. Follow the western coastline of Sicily from Palermo and down to Agrigrento and you will see how...

“It's a must!!”

If you go to Agrigento or even Palermo, this place is worth a visit. Take lots of water with you as there are a few places inside where to purchase it. We had a picnic on the shade of the most beautiful temple: The Concordia and it was great fun. You can book a tour guide on the spot, not expensive as kids don't pay.
