Went here for lunch today I had a toasted tea cake and a lovely fresh homemade slice of Victoria sandwich cake. My girlfriend had an all day breakfast which consisted of scrambled eggs bacon and thick doorstop toast. She said it was lovely but thought she would be getting more than just scrambled eggs and bacon. Like sausage and beans. This didn't put us off though and will definitely go back. The cakes are all homemade and the staff are really nice too

Gorgeous cream tea, scrummy scones with lashings of jam and clotted cream. Delicious coffee and friendly Staff. Loved the calm tranquil decoration. Brilliant

Great place, lovely people, amazing coffee and some very tempting cakes. Do not drive by or walk past this place... call in for a cuppa!

I have been here quite a few times now with family for cake and hot drinks, and occasionally for a light lunch. The menu is quite extensive considering the small prep space. But they manage well and service is very efficient.
It's a small little coffee shop with adds to the charm. I particularly like the cosy corner of sofas by the wood burner which is always lit during the colder months.
The only thing I will say is the coffee isn't always made very well. I haven't marked down as I tend to just avoid ordering lattes there now as the other hot drinks are yummy. But lattes are served in tall glasses with a lot of foam which often needs scooping out before I can reach the liquid. Only quarrel really, but I'm a bit of a coffee snob hence haven't marked down for it.
Plus the staff are so nice in there I don't feel it's fair to mark down for coffee not made to my taste.
Will continue to visit!

Enjoyed a very tasty crab sandwich with coffee - wonderful doorstep cut granary bread (and I mean doorstep - no measly portion here). Very relaxed little coffee shop, perfect to sit and while away a few moments. Tastefully decorated with art works from the nearby gallery.
