This is located on a country hillside and the view and sites to get there helped to make it a memorable dinner. The hospitality by Christina and her staff cannot be surpassed. We were there visiting for the weekend in ValTidone a great get away from congested Genoa. We offered different courses and Christina consulted with our B and B proprietor and the food just kept coming! The prosciutto and hams couldn't be matched anywhere, the fried bread gnocchi would die for, and the spinach appetizers and cheese...just heavenly...We also tried the stuffed tomatoes and cheese with zucchini , and the crepelle truffles ( I think that is what is what called)...The wine was local, and we had no room for the main meal. Of course, we had desserts. I tried the chocolate trifle which was like a type of chocolate/vanilla tiramasu and my sister had a type of berries with mascarpone cheese...The ambience was fantastic sitting out on the enclosed stone veranda , warm and a little breeze to cool us off after a hot day..The event went on for hours. I loved it and it was one of the best dining experiences I had in the two weeks of Italian cuisine...

Cristina out front and her husband in the kitchen serve up delicious local dishes, including amazing gnocco fritto and salumi and the best tortelli all'ortica we've ever tasted. If you are in the Val Tidone, Ristorante San Giorgio is a perfect stop for a great meal. The new outdoor terrace is spacious and comfortable. Try their local bubbly red wine called "Guturnio". Cristina also serves delicious homemade semifreddo desserts.

An Insider-Tipp for all Fans of fantastic, exceeding Food. I am going to visit Nibbiano one time per year and I am always overpowered of the lunch they are prepared. Do not forget to catch a Salamit before you´re leaving.

Have visited this restaurant on a number of occassions over the last few years. have always found the owner Christina to be warm and welcoming. The food is fantastic, the gnocco fritto has to be tasted to be believe. A bit off the beaten track, however very well worth the detour to. A definite find.

The restaurant is in a small village in the mountains way off the beaten track. We were taken here by family and would not otherwise have known of it. About 30 tables were set out in a purpose built square and it resembled the setting for a small wedding in a magical setting. There was no menu the food kept coming endlessly, the staff having to carry it up two ramps from the kitchen to the square. A massive antipasto plate to start , Bruschetta, stuffed tomato with parmesan, risotto di porcini, three local pasta specialities, pork roast, chicken and duck. Two desserts, one a delicious combination of figs and semifreddo to round it off. It was an unforgettable and a rather filling experience.
