“Sweet little cottage with very kind, efficient and helpful host”
Reviewed 17 January 2016 for a stay in October 2015

My partner and I stayed at 'Lovely Sunny Cottage' for one week in October 2015. Directions we were given to the property were very clear and we were met by Ursula, the host's property manager who was very friendly and showed us the workings of the cottage. We found the cottage very comfortable and well equipped and we very much enjoyed our stay.

We went out exploring the Pelješac peninsula every day and found many beautiful little coves and beaches as well as larger seaside towns. On returning home we enjoyed walking the very short distance from the cottage to the centre of Trstenik to the café/bars and watching the sun go down over the bay.

The weather was mixed as after all, it was October. We had warm sunny days - warm enough to swim in the sea - and a few showers. Unfortunately on our first night we had a torrential downpour which damaged part of the little garden and the garden wall and the electrics in the cottage. The host, Maya was incredibly efficient in responding to this and the electrics were back on within a very short time and Ursula, the property manager arrived promptly to clean up the damage to the garden. This in no way detracted from our enjoyment of our holiday and if anything showed us just how competent and helpful our host and her manager were.

We had not travelled to Croatia before and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the place. So many places to explore and very easy to get around. There was a little shop just a few minutes walk down the road in Trstenik where everyday purchases could be made whilst larger supermarkets could be found nearby. Also, the selection of café/bars and restaurants just down the road from the cottage meant we were able to have a drink or two before walking home.

Thank you Maya for giving us such a lovely place to stay from where we were able to discover your beautiful Croatia.
