“Very good”

Very well appointed cottage, just about 30 metres from the beach. There is everything you could ever want provided for you. Soap powder, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, bottle of wine, cake, jam and milk. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of furniture to sit on, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer, towels and tea towels. Some lovely walks in the area and right next to the cottage is an old railway track you can walk on and return via the beach. Next to the Fife Coastal path. Very interesting cottage with plenty of history. From the bedrooms there is a fantastic sea view. Parking right outside the house in the small yard (bit of a tight squeeze getting through the entrance).

Liked best: Well appointed, spaciousness and near the sea
Liked least: Curtains kept coming off the rail (no end stop). Some debris under the bed. No garden

“Beautiful cottage, stunning location ”
Reviewed 1 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

What a fantastic week we had in this beautiful cottage - so comfortable and very well-equipped; we were short of nothing. Glorious sea views from nearly all the windows and it was lovely and clean.
The welcome gifts, flowers, and comprehensive information supplied by the owners were a lovely touch and much appreciated.
We loved the Fife Coastal Path walk to Elie (bus back), as well as Tentsmuir Forest (went twice). Not forgetting to mention the fabulous beach at Lower Largo itself which we all (and the dog) enjoyed everyday (we even spotted a starfish in a rock pool).
We ate at the Crusoe Hotel, the Upper Largo Hotel (excellent food and service) and the Blacketyside Farm Shop (also excellent and reasonably priced) and enjoyed fish and chips at Cromars in St Andrews. There is also a large Sainsbury's only a 10 minute car journey for anything else needed.
We were very lucky with the weather on all but one day which wasn't a problem as we enjoyed the coal fire and games.
All in all, loved it, wish we could have stayed longer and already thinking about next year.
Highly recommended - one of the best self catering holidays we have had.
Many thanks to Simon and Becca.
