“Perfect beach location.....”
Reviewed 1 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We stayed here with our 2 boys for 4 nights. You can't beat hearing the sounds of the waves crashing and looking out the window to such a beautiful beach. Our evenings were spent looking for shells on the beach and rock pooling. Wonderful to get away from everything. The location is also perfect to explore the area. Lovely coastline and St Andrews worth a visit....

“Perfect Location”
Reviewed 21 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Just returned after 4 nights in the beach house. The main feature is the perfect location right on the beach . The property has all you need inside for a perfect family break, modern and well equipped with a cosy feel. Parking can be tricky but adjacent hotel allowed us to keep car in their car park after use for food and drinks.

“Fantastic apartment in wonderful locations”

Stayed here for 3 nights to attend family wedding nearby. Owner was very helpful and accommodating. The apartment is in an amazing location, right on the beach and listening to the waves lapping on the shore was very relaxing. We very much enjoyed sitting on the glassed in balcony watching the tide come and go, the people on the beach and great views of all sorts of birds. We also enjoyed being on the coastal path and on a walk from Elie we saw lots of seals. There is a very useful convenience store within 1 minute and two pubs. The Crusoe Hotel was friendly and efficient with good food but busy on Sunday evening so may be advisable to book. The cottage is equipped to a very high standard as the owners also use it and we found it very comfortable. Tea and coffee supplied. Parking is an issue. If you can't get on the street there is a car park up the hill with steps down to the Main Street, which we found no problem. Stairs are steep if you have mobility issues it's not suitable. The hotel had loud live music until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Would highly recommend and definitely visit again. An amazing lace in a great location at a reasonable price.

“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 24 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The Beach House is a great place to stay. It is a three level apartment, although the lowest level is simply the front door and stairs up to the main living spaces.
Everything you need is here: a big kitchen, a cosy living room with the added benefit of a sea view right outside...or, to be specific, a balcony which overlooks the sea just outside.

The bedrooms are a good size and there are two bathrooms (the top one is tricky if you are over 6 foot like myself). The main bedroom, again, overlooks the sea and, when we stayed there, one night was particularly windy and rainy, but it added to the atmosphere in the room.

Other reviews mention parking. We stayed in April so, I assume, parking would not be as hard as maybe in the summer. More often than not, we found space in the main road. However, space is available further up from the apartment.

There is a small convenience store opposite for essentials and a couple of pubs nearby, too. However, the situation - being so close to the beach - is the real winner.

Liked best: The view!
Liked least: The doors were heavy. We were warned about this so no complaints, but hard if hgolding a child's hand and they are not "playing ball" going through one of the doors!

“Great Location”
Reviewed 22 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The house is on two floors with a well appointed kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, a shower room on the upper floor and a bathroom on the floor below. The balcony is compact but perfect for viewing the ocean, which is practicallyon the doorstep, and birdwatching. We also spent time walking along the shore. The Beach House is also ideal for exploring the little harbour towns dotted along the coast..
