I stayed in this awesome cabin the week of Christmas with my husband and my two boys ages 3 and 7.
On arrival the cabin was so welcoming and very warm and cosy.
The owners have the cabin so well equipped it felt like home from home. The cooking facilities were brilliant so much so that I managed to cook a great Christmas dinner for my family.
I was a bit worried that the cabin would be very cold but it turned out the opposite. The gorgeous log burner kept the cabin very toasty all the time.(fire guard was great to keep kids safe from burns).
My two boys loved watching movies curled up by the fire and we all enjoyed taking in the lovely views through the many walks and cycle trips.
The weather was awful but that did not stop us having an amazing time. It was magical snuggled up in the cosy cabin in front of the log burner with the rain and winds outside.
There is a good wee pub on site and kids enjoyed their games room.
Amazing value for the money. We cant wait to go back again.
Highly recommend if your looking for a very chilled relaxing holiday.
Dont forget your wellies if going in the winter : )
Huge thanks to the owners for the use of your amazing cabin. It was magical.

“Well equipped peaceful cabin, in a wonderful setting.”

We had a wonderful long weekend in this cabin. Despite awful weather we were warm dry and happily tucked away in the cabin. My 2 year old loved exploring in the forest, splashing in muddy puddles, feeding the ducks on the loch and playing in the local play park.
We had a great meal at the local pub. We also did a few local road trip loops (one south and one north to Oban) - beautiful scenery!
The cabin had everything we could need including surprisingly enough space! The extended balcony and wood burning stove are a great bonus. It was also well south proofed from the rowdy elements and internally when my kids went to bed.

Will go again!

Myself husband brother and sister in law have just returned from a lovely long weekend spent at this wonderful log cabin set in the beauty of the woodlands surrounding Loch Awe.
The cabin itself was indeed a home from home with every detail thought of by its owners to make it SPECIAL .The log burning fire certainly adds to the magic and the cabin was spotlessly clean and warm.
The men fished in the loch and surrounding area. We women walked; read and sat on the lovely south facing decking and enjoyed the blessing of the sunny weather !!! great for this time of year
There are: to my surprise many other cabins in this area all secluded in the woodlands So although you are able to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this area It was comforting to know we were not isolated . We took with us all of our food.; meals cooked before we left.Just a matter of heating them up, although the kitchen facilities were excellent in the cabin.
There was a small shop on site but was closed by the time we arrived on Sat and was closed on Sunday. Best to take everything with you
Again to say this was a wonderful weekend and we hope to return in the future .

“very nice log cabin. Small but very efficient lay out, beautiful large balcony”

We are a family with three teenagers.
The cabin is small inside, but because of the large balcony and the large garden area it doesn't feel small. One bed is located in an open attic above the living area. Superb for a teenager. Very complete kitchen. Large glass sliding door to the very big balcony. A place to live outdoors, when the weather permits that (as was the case during our stay). Travelling to touristic areas such as Oban is quite time-consuming because of the one-lane-roads.

Ben Lui is a great log cabin very peaceful and tranquil setting. Irene was very helpful and friendly. The Loch View is a great place to eat, food was exceptional and excellent value for money. Great place to stay especially if you like walking or cycling. I would recommend that you take plenty of food with you.
