The Bingham Townhouse was recommended to us by a friend who lives locally. As the hotel is on the main road into Bingham is was fairly easy to find. Although we arrived early we were warmly welcomed and our room was ready for us. The hotel was well presented and fresh looking as was our room on the top floor. Lovely king sized bed and room with more than ample hospitality tray.

Room Tip: As the lift only goes to the first floor you need to be able to use stairs to get to the second floor.

I'm so grateful to the various staff members that I dealt with during my stay at The Bingham Townhouse. They went out of their way to help me on so many occasions when they really didn't have to. The accommodation was wonderful and a very comfy stay - a great sleep!

Hello Netball Stars, it was great to be able to welcome you back again! Thankyou for such a positive review and glad that you approve of our new weekend breakfast times – a bit more flexible to have that extra hour, from 7am ‘til 10, instead of starting at eight. We look forward to seeing you next year and thanks again for the positive feedback.
Kind Regards, Mike Briggs, Manager

Looking for somewhere to stay in Bingham, we thought that The Bingham Townhouse looked individual and a bit quirky, so booked a night's B&B.

Easy to find, but do follow the one way system to gain entrance into the good sized car park.

Fiona on Reception was so welcoming and chatty. When we told her that we had read that Bingham has been named one of the top ten towns in the country in which to bring up a family, she gave us a glowing review of the town, it's facilities and a completely unbiased run down of good places to eat for dinner.

As we were walking upstairs to our room, my other half commented that if everyone in Bingham were as lovely as Fiona then we would really enjoy our stay here.

My other half spent a lot of time in international chains when travelling with work and so, now that we are retired, we like to find small and individual places to stay. Bingham Townhouse is unusual in that the hotel is situated on the floors above a Cantonese Restaurant (where you eat your breakfast in the morning), with just a modest Reception space on the ground floor. There is an opulent lounge area on a mezzanine, accessible via the residents' stairs or directly from the restaurant. Residents can also use the water dispensers on each floor and there are ironing boards/irons available.

We had a room on the second floor, overlooking the Main Street and up the hill to the school. Despite the sloping ceilings the room was light and airy, in pale blue and white. Ample drawer and hanging space, a small chaise lounge ad armchair, desk space and tea and coffee making facilities (with delicious biscuits!). A hair drier and basic toiletries were provided, towels were not huge but soft and fluffy.

The bed was high and comfortable. Scatter cushions for just lounging and an oscillating fan provided for those overly warm nights.

We particularly liked the wall sockets with two USB points per socket, the ones by the bed were great for charging phones. A 'Bingham Townhouse Happy Book' was left for us on the bed with all the information we might need and, in addition, a menu for the Cantonese Restaurant and a breakfast menu.

Bingham seems to wake up quite late at a weekend and despite having the windows open, we were not disturbed by traffic noise.

As mentioned above, breakfast was served in the restaurant on the ground floor. Cereal, fresh fruit salad, yogurt and pastries, coffee and tea are self serve from the bar counter, whilst cooked breakfast can be ordered and served to the table.

Local suppliers are used for ingredients and, as well as the traditional 'Full English', individual items are listed and guests can create their own ideal plate. I liked this, since I usually have to list those parts of the cooked breakfast which I would prefer not to have and I am sure it saves waste for the hotel. Bacon, mushrooms and scrambled eggs were delicious.

The restaurant was open to the public and locals were popping in for breakfast, with staff happy to accommodate small children and all sorts of requests.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bingham Townhouse, it is ideally situated, comfortable, good value and you receive a great welcome.
