Stayed here for two nights with friends. What a great place! It's an ideal location for exploring Abel Tasman - the entrance to the park is a few minutes' walk away, as is the pick up point for the water taxi. The hostel has a great feel - perfect for chilling with friends, and the cinema is a fab idea! Greg is knowledgeable about the area, and about other activities in New Zealand, and I can't forget to mention the cookies - the BEST I've ever had! We felt really at home while we were here and enjoyed spending time with Greg and the other guests.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend. It was more of a homestay than a hostel as there were only 12 beds. The owner, Greg, even made us cookies! He's building lots of new beds and facilities so this hostel is only going to get better! There's a great common room area, free wifi, pool tables and a cinema and soon to be a diner selling food and popcorn! The hostel is a 5 minute walk from the entrance to Abel Tasman National Park so no need for water taxis. The only negative was that the beds were a bit uncomfortable but everything else made up for that. Would definitely recommend for a chilled place to stay to wind down and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park!

Ended up in Marahau on an unplanned trip and came across this new hostel, was a great find in a great little town, I want to keep it a secret just like the locals do. but I was never good at secrets, the adventure inn is a great place to recharge before and after hitting the able Tasman national park. Mangee the owner is a great cook and loves to show off his burger making skills, he also has great lentil burger for us veges types, IF YOU WANT TO GET ON HIS GOOD SIDE BRING SALMON to the hostel, he loves it and will for sure bake you fresh cookies :-) Mangee has great local knowledge and is a great kiwi bloke, the movie theater is amazing. They even have a fire truck to water the gardens :-). Loved every thing about the place.

This hostel was unreal. Greg was the MVP of hosts - we had an unfortunate flight cancellation and had to reschedule everything last minute. He handled it really nicely and set us up with new dates no problem. Free shuttle to and from nelson airport. Movie theatre is HUGE with so many movie options, also a games room with pool tables and darts (all free). You'll be watching a movie after a full day of exploring Abel Tasman and Greg will come in offering free, freshly baked cookies. Facilities were clean, beds comfy. Best place to explore the park from!!

A brilliant hostel with a very homely feel. Greg is a top host, very chilled out, knowledgeable and helpful! Excellent location right at the start of the Abel Tasman national park. Huge cinema screen, 2 pool tables and dartboard all free of charge so plenty to do on a rainy day. All necessary cooking facilities provided and super clean. Beds were comfy and loads of charging points in the rooms. Pretty cheap considering the location and well worth a stay. I am excited to return to see how the big plans for this place go!!
