We visited the local restaurant in creissan where my sister has used before for takeaway and commented on the food food. It is a small establishment with a nice covered outside area.
We went for lunch and although members of my family speak French there is a book of the menu in photographs so fine for non speakers
They did an excellent "plat du jour" dish of the day which was delicious of salad, then veal and followed by cheese.
My husband and dad had the best burger EVER!! as they remarked.
The man who runs it, cooks and serves is lovely and we went back a few days later for the paella which has to be ordered 24hrs in advance which was lovely
The wine is from the vineyard over the road and bread and cheese locally sourced
As with a lot of southern French restaurants the emphasis is on food quality and not on presentation of napkins etc... Very rustic!
We will be going back next time we are there!!!!!!
