“99% Perfect”
Reviewed 3 January 2018 for a stay in December 2017

Peaceful and relaxing very comfortable and well equipped excellent WiFi but a bit bit of a nuisance that mobile network is very patchy a case of being in the exact right place in the cottage to be able to get a signal - not the owners fault but it might be worth chasing the network operator to see if it can be improved. Nice touches to have fresh flowers and as it was nearly Christmas a decorated Christmas tree, very thoughtful, also to have tea/coffee/milk left to avoid an immediate trip to the shops. Pretty much everything you need although the ladies said a hairdryer would be nice otherwise hard to fault. Absolutely essential to have your own transport. as the cottage is some way out of the village. There is a big garden at the back which must be very nice in the warmer weather full of bird life though even in winter. Comfortable beds and lots of games jigsaws etc to pass the time if staying in even a few DVDs. There a a few good pubs within a few Km notably the Red Lion and the Wellington and the West End Inn in Feltwell is now a diner reasonable food and prices and there are a couple of fairly well stocked village shops but again all but the most energetic and dedicated walkers will need a car. .Tanya very friendly and helpful

Many thanks for your kind review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Mobile reception is not good in this area unfortunately, but some people find it a relief to escape from their phone for a few days!

Thanks for your kind review. It is a shame that Willow Holt cottage does not have room for a washing machine. Bluebell cottage does have a machine, which I know is more desirable for a longer stay.

It is a great location for the surrounding area if you enjoy walking etc., with your dogs. This is our 2nd visit to Willow Holt and we will be booking again for next year.

“Beautiful cottage in fantastic surroundings”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Stayed in this beautiful cottage with my husband, adult sons, young daughter and 2 small dogs. The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable with lots of extras such as books and board games set in a very quiet peaceful area. There is a very large shared garden at the back and a fenced patio area, great for keeping the dogs away from the 4 chickens or to have a bbq or quiet drink in the evenings. The villages of Hockwold and Feltwell are both within a 5 minute drive, right out of the cottage and along the lane to Hockwold or left for Feltwell. Both have friendly pubs serving food and Feltwell also have a Chinese takeaway and Fish and Chip shop. Brandon is only 15 minutes and has a big Aldi, lota of takeaways and a great little bowling alley. Thetford Forest is again only 20 minutes away or you could go further to Wells by the Sea or Hunstanton for the beach or hire a boat on the broads at Wroxham. There is Fly fishing near by or you can access the river at Brandon, Oakwood Fishing is a no go unless you want specialist fishing and are willing to pay £75 a day and book in advance.
All in all a fantastic holiday was had by all everyone wished we could stay longer. We would love to return to the cottage again.

“Lovely Quiet Cottage”
Reviewed 1 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Stayed here with two other friends from 25th - 31st July 2015. Clean and comfortable. Located in the country along a narrow road. Very quiet and peaceful. Well equipped. As owners were away for their summer holidays we were allowed to park in their driveway. Otherwise you need to park on the side of the road. Only negatives were no washing machine, a dead spot as far as mobile phone is concerned and there was no broom to sweep the floor. A bit difficult for a 70 year old to sweep the floor with a dustpan and brush. Nevertheless we had a wonderful time exploring the area with the cottage as our base.
