We've been in this apt for 1.5 weeks. We love everything about it. We walk down the cliff steps to the sea and swim with the turtles and snorkel on the many little coral reefs. We've seen all kinds of sea life. I run/walk on batts rock beach 2 min walk from house....The sunsets are fantastic too, the cruise ships and sailboat traffic make for interesting gazing out at the horizon. The amenities are decent, we love the washer and dryer right off the kitchen, buy your own laundry soap etc....the beautiful master bedroom is gorgeous. The linens and decorations are very tasteful. Everything is very clean. Cleaning service 2 x per week. The only thing I miss is a few kitchen gadgets like a mandolin and sharp knifes, a bigger coffee maker. I've been using the coffee press. Other than that there are coffee drink mugs, wine glasses both sizes, cocktail glasses..could use big plastic for taking drinks to the beach. The apt supplies you with beach towels and bathroom towels. Bring your own bath soap and amenities. They supplied toilet paper, I bought paper towels and napkins. There is salt and pepper. Plenty of dishes 2 or 3 sets, plenty of plastic containers for storing items. Lots of wooden cutting boards for cheese platters and chopping. They do need a big salad bowl and a Chip and dip bowl. Bathrooms are modern, stairs are spiral up and down but not a problem. We stored our empty luggage at the bottom of the spiral staircase completely out of the way. Closet in MB is outside the room, nice dressing area with long mirror plug to dry hair outside bathroom. No traffic jams! Bus pick up right outside front door so easy access to west coast attractions. This is restaurant row, the west coast, so depending on what you are looking for from beach bar to five star they have it. Great shopping, Wendy's sport bar, Cin Cin is 5 * the cliff and lone star garage are amazing!!! There are so many we ate at the Beach club, treasure beach, the tides, surf side beach bar, Mullins beach bar, the fish pot, ju ju's, zaccios, cuz fish shack in Bridgetown, Champers and Sahara Arabic grill. All great choices and I'm a foodie!!! Ju jus was my least favorite! We bought fish often at Paynes fish market, shopped at Jordan's cheapest grocery store not a full selection there are better stores this one is the closest. Bought fruits and veggies from the stands on side of the road. We have been here in Barbados a total of 3.5 weeks and love it all. We rented a car week 3/4 to check out the entire island but you don't need to the bus service goes to every inch of the island!! Car gives you freedom!

Till I come back again!!

“Very nice apartment with great west coast view and location.”

The apartment was very nice and spacious. It had very nice views of the sea along with the sunset. It was centrally located for ease into Holestown and Bridgetown. We were a bit disappointed that there were no portable beach chairs to travel around the island with.

“Highly recommend Coralita”

I can't rate Coralita, Barbados highly enough for either couples or small families with children 6+.

This is our second time in the same location and it was great to see after two years it is exactly the same. Fantastic near by beach for the family directly accessible via a short walk along the road to Batts Rock park. For the more adventurous, you can use the carved steps at the front of the apartment during LOW tide and a short walk along the small beach to the main beach - foot wear for the rocks required and children will need some assistance down the steps and short hop over the coral rocks.

The apartment was well equipped with all the utensils, great (very sharp) knives, cooking and washing facilities that you would expect from a self contained unit. We used most of the facilities and cooked many meals. Groceries can be obtained from one of 3 or 4 local super markets but will need own transport. The bedrooms and sitting room are all air conditioned which is a pleasant relief after an active day. Four balconies to choose from to look at the fantastic view of the bay and watching the odd cruise ship come into port. We mainly used the kitchen balcony for breakfast and main dinning area of dinner.

We were met by Angelia who also is also the house keeper and subsequently visited us every few days to ensure all was ok and the apartment was cleaned to a very high standard. She also got us some initial provisions on a our first day so that we could go to bed after first long day.

Snorkeling at Batts Rock was safe, full of wildlife and a few local green turtles popped their heads up now and again. These are some of many things you can do from this apartment, including, paddle boarding, sailing, jet skiing, fishing, submarine trip, visiting plantation houses, rum tours, horse riding, swimming or just generally floating around in the 28C sea.

Other places I highly recommend are Paynes Bay Beach, Sandy Lane Beach and the Fish Pot restaurant near Port St Charles. Locally, Cin Cin is within walking distance of the apartment. For those who don't have a hire car, the is a bus stop 20 seconds away from the apartment, which makes anywhere on Barbados accessible.

In summary, great tropical holiday in a safe, fully featured and accessible apartment for the family.

“Stunning view in well appointed villa”

We returned from a glorious week in Coralita apartment #2. First let me say that the architecture of the place is perfect for tropical living: white plaster, smooth rounded walls and ceilings, large mahogany cased windows and doors, and restful, neutral floor tile throughout. There is a nod toward Morroccan style with delightful insets placed strategically in the walls that have lighting above to unobtrusively light an area with a soft glow rather than harsh brightness; and each has a lovely piece of the sea (coral or shells) to acknowledge its geography. Perched on a rocky cliff, the scenery is spectacular; the siting of the building inspired, and the landscaping adds to its beauty without overwhelming of the view (2 large palm trees lend tropical ambience).

The bathrooms have natural stone counters with vessel sinks, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to truly feel like you are in an apartment. I especially appreciated the utility of every item; nothing more or less than is needed. Often when renting a home or villa, you arrive to find leftover hand-me-down furniture, mismatched dinnerware and silverware and junky décor. You can tell that the owners take pride in making it easy and aesthetically pleasing to live there. A bonus is the dishwasher, which we used quite often. Large flat screen TV (although we hardly used it) is hooked up to many channel options, and wifi was efficient and allowed us to stay in contact without costly international data fees.

It should be noted that the steps to apartment 2 are actually a spiral staircase, which is a little dicey to navigate for 2 broads with bad hips haha, but leads to a breathtaking level that has one of the best views I have ever experienced. My friend and I were celebrating our 60th birthdays (we came to Batts Rock for our 40th birthday as well, at The Belfry), and felt we found the perfect place to share: each had our own bedroom and bathroom, and we spent hours on the cozy dining terrace playing Scrabble and watching the waves crash upon the shoreline.

Although there are air conditioners, we did not use them once, preferring to cast open wide the windows and doors and let the island breeze create our temperatures. There is a nice cross breeze when you open the window from kitchen to dining terrace, although, like most of the coastal properties on Barbados, the back of the house is right on a busy street and traffic noise blends with crashing wave sounds; you get used to it.

When we were there (week of April 18 to 25), the steps to beach were not usable as the water was crashing right up to the cliff. But we soon discovered how easy it was to take the short walk down to the public Batts Rock Beach, which you can see from the terrace, and wander along its gorgeous shoreline and swim at intervals. Bring water shoes for easier navigation between the coral and rocks in what looks like a smooth sandy bottom.

The people of Barbados are so friendly and helpful; but the treasure of Coralita is the availability of Sandra the housekeeper. She is a wealth of island knowledge and contacts, a pleasant and jovial lady, and keeps the place very well cleaned and stocked. The place was immaculate. We recommend Coralita highly and look forward to returning!

“Paradise Found”

We stayed here with our teenage kids for 10 days. Absolute heaven ! Defintely for those seeking some serious R&R - not for those seeking lively nightlife scene & shops - though these are only a short bus journey away. Roughly 25 min drive from the airport, and with a bus stop right outside the door. Nearest (lovely) beach (and kids park) a short swim, or a 3 minute walk. ATM and garage selling provisions 10 minutes walk, with a locals' bar opposite (11am - 4pm ) with most Premier football matches being shown (Liverpool FC supporters will have the warmest welcome, as the owner is a big fan !).
Apart from the noise of the sea, the apartment is very quiet despite being right on the main road, and also in a convenient location for exploring just about everywhere on the island. Excellent choice of balconies for watching the sun go down, the cruise ships entering & leaving port, watching turtles feed and the occasional wild monkey passing by !
The apartment is well furnished & well maintained, with plenty of room for a family of 4. Well equipped for self catering, fully functioning showers, wifi & TV. Separate airconditioned sitting room a great escape if the heat or humidity gets too much. The varying floor levels & cute moroccan accent wall details gives this apartment as much wow factor inside, as it has outside. At all times we felt perfectly safe & secure.
The owner is very helpful and communication were answered promptly.
No real negatives at all, but a couple of improvements; it would have beengreat to have had an additional table & chair set outside to facilitate alfresco dining on one of the three wonderful balconies (presently only a low coffee table & low seating are provided - making eating outside a little tricky), a clothes drying rack for items not suitable to tumble dry would have been useful, and a few more chopping boards, for cooking, would mean complete perfection !
If one day, I win the lottery, I'd like to buy this place - until then, we'll keep dreaming, and keep renting it. Paradise Found !
