“Afternoon tea break”

The Blue and White Teapot Cafe
Ranked #1 of 1 Restaurants in Amamoor
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: US$ 8 - US$ 20
Description: A visit to the Blue and White Teapot is one that you will want to share with friends near and far. It may look like a quaint little cafe from the front, but stepping through the doors is likened to stepping into another time and place. Whether you prefer to sit in a private garden room or mingle in the courtyard, there is no way you cannot be relaxed by the tranquil surroundings. Stay a short while, or spend hours talking with friends and enjoy the delights of yesteryear, with a pot of loose leaf tea and fine china, or simply a delicious mug of steaming coffee. Indulge in scones with jam and cream or an old fashioned slice for morning tea, or stay for lunch of locally made and grown quiche and salad. Either way, there are options for everyone, including gluten free and vegetarian.

An absolute must do for lunch or morning/ afternoon tea. The pretty street frontage is great, but when you go through to the gardens at the back you will be amazed. This is the most relaxing, beautifully set out garden cafe I have ever seen! Tucked way in this small town, it’s a hidden treasure, well worth the detour from the Bruce Highway.(Mary Valley Link Rd exit)
Amamoor, in the Mary Valley is only a short drive north of the Sunshine Coast.

We stopped in for coffee following the recommendation of a local and were delightfully surprised! The café's gardens are absolutely stunning and the coffee was very nice. Definitely worth a stop on your next country drive.

Along the backroads of the beautiful Mary Valley on the way to Gympie is a little town called Amamoor and it's claim to fame is its delightful tea house called the Blue & White Teapot. The cafe itself is full of lovely old china and knick knacks and the food is delicious. Once you have ordered head to the tropical garden outside and find a spot to sit whether it be seating for two or ten there is a little alcove for you amongst the plants. We had the scones, jam, cream and pots of tea and it was delicious! They also have sandwiches and other light snacks. Highly recommended - this is truly a hidden gem and worth the drive!!

A true treasure from the flower beds out the front, to the inside of the café and gift shop, then out into the lush tropical gardens.
Lisa, the owner, is very friendly.
Lovely coffee, tea and food - beautiful scones with jam and cream.
The tables are placed in little nooks amongst the gardens out the back. So quiet and peaceful
While we were there a king parrot landed on the roof, wonderful!

From the minute you discover this quaint little cottage, your experience is enjoyable. Well worth the drive out to Imbil, just to walk around the lovey garden and discover the hidden gems around each corner and behind each tree or bush. Tea served in delicate cups and tasty treats to go with it, what more could you possible want?
