Three of us (2 grey hairs and son) stayed a couple of nights in one of the cottages when we were attending a wedding nearby. The cottage was nicely appointed and very comfortable, with lovely views over the countryside. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and made sure everything was set up for our extra person. Also enjoyed our walk up the hill behind the house and the extensive views from the top. Plenty of places to go and see nearby too ... We were only home for breakfasts, but thought the kitchen facilities and BBQ would have served us well if we were doing all our own catering (and a good sized fridge for keeping the wine and tucker cold). Also thought the wine available for purchase in the cottage was a great idea, and good value for the price.

Room Tip: Any of the cottages look great!

We stayed for 3 nights recently in one of the guest rooms in the homestead. The room was clean and comfortable and in a beautiful and peaceful location amongst the rolling hills of the Mary Valley.
We had a private verandah which was large and visited by the beautiful local birds.
We had our young pup with us and appreciated being able to stay where our pet was so welcomed and accommodated. Pets can stay inside the cottages which are also on this property but are unable to come into the house rooms. Our dog slept outside our door on the deck very happily, in a crate we brought with us. He also appreciated being able to run around and swim in the dam, and unsuccessfully attempt to play with ducks and chooks.
Each day we were given a delicious breakfast by the friendly and gracious hosts, Carol and Ken, featuring some home grown produce and the best milk we have had in years. We also had the celebration dinner one night which was equally delicious. We chose to go to the coast most days and also visited the friendly, nearby, old fashioned country pub where meals are available. If required the publican will drive you home in the bus and Ken will drive you back to the pub to get your car in the morning.
We plan to go back some time in the future and try out a cottage. I hope it is soon!

I took an individual with a disability to the Amamoor Homestead using the disability friendly cabin which was brilliant. The gentleman I assisted was able to have a spa in the spa bath for the second time in his life, in which he enjoyed immensely, no money could have brought the smiles on his face or the laughter from that room, and the fact it was accessable for him to get in and out with minor help. The fires that where lit in the afternoons kept the individual I was working with in awe, he just loved his stay. The cabin was tidy and the owners were fantastic with any needs we had, you were very appreciated carol and ken, the place has a wonderful feel to it and was very relaxing and anybody who has an individual with a disability I would highly recommend this Homestead thank you so much, the views were fantastic and the individual loved this stay the best.

We are very happy with the location and the whole set out. The cottage itself is nice and petite. You could easily stay in for the whole time and just chill out but we decided to go Gympie (20 minutes drive) and Noosa (40 minutes drive), Kenilworth (30 minutes drive). There are so many things you can do. People are friendly. Their small horse (puppy) is very playful. Lots of DVD selection. We asked for something special for birthday celebration and was greeted by beautiful flowers, bubbles and strawberries. :)

Room Tip: The frozen mango was awesome! Buy some ice cream or natural yoghurt.

Just had an amazing surprise long weekend at Amamoor Homestead for my partner's birthday. Carol was incredibly patient with all my emails organising every detail including a surprise birthday cake with singing and sparklers! We stayed in the Magnolia Cabin (closest to the homestead) - very comfortable and private. There's a single spa bath in the Magnolia Cottage but there's a double spa in the homestead that cottage visitors are welcome to use. Treat yourself to the Be Pampered 4-course dinner at the Homestead simply for the incredible food prepared by Ken and Carol (try the pumpkin soup, salmon and the mango cheeks!), and also to enjoy their incredible hospitality. We also had the picnic hamper with fresh rolls, drink, cheese platter and banana cake - more than I expected! Heaps of DVDs and CDs available from the Homestead. Extra towels in the cottage. We went up to the Royal Hotel in Gympie for dinner on the Saturday but the Kandanga Hotel is close by too. Ken and Carol go out of their way to make you feel so welcome. The peace and quiet is amazing - you really feel yourself slow down here. Definitely take the time to light a fire, toast some marshmallows and lie under the millions of stars.

Room Tip: All the cottages have great views and are relatively private despite being next door to each other...
