In 2007 in the old town of Taceno, a collection of thirteen frescoes were painted by local artists and painters from Italy entitled 'Una Finsetra sul Passato' (windows of the past). As you walk around the narrow streets you will see images of old crafts and everyday activities which are becoming extinct. Like the baker making bread in a wood fired oven, work in a dairy, a horse having its shoe changed, farmers gathering up hay, men sitting around socialising, playing cards. It's a fun and colourful look back into the past.
