If I could give a minus rating I would. Appalling place. Booked to stay here for 3 days this week in a camper van. We were directed to our pitch on arrival to find it totally water logged like a lake. A site warden we spoke to seemed surprised that we wouldn’t drive our vans onto the field and eventually after we complained he told us we could have one of the premium hard standing pitches which was nothing more than a very narrow strip of concrete no wider than my vehicle completely surrounded by a mud swamp. Apparently senior management from Pure Leisure, the company who own it spent the weekend there to inspect site due to the bad weather but still felt it appropriate to allow people in tourers to turn up and stay on totally inaccessible pitches rather than have the decency to pre-warn us and refund our money. We spent one night there and then had no choice but to give up and leave. In addition to the appalling conditions of the camping fields we were disturbed throughout the night by drunken people fighting and trying to break into caravans. Apparently these people are permanent residents. The company are refusing a refund. Customer Services are very poor. I appreciate the weather has been bad and that has caused the poor condition of the campsite but the owners of this site should deal with it appropriately and not give visitors the impression everything is fine to still camp there when it is totally unfit for purpose. I have been liaising with their customer care people most of the day but they really don’t care. I certainly won’t be going there again. Worst campsite I’ve ever been to

Hello, thank you for contacting us regarding this, we are sorry to hear about your disappointment. Leading up to your arrival, the West Midlands, in particular Northampton had undoubtedly experienced some of the worst weather conditions in the UK which included Snow, hail and rain. This information was broadcasted by the Met Office, on a number of different media platforms and through our contact centre. With the weather warnings in place from the Met Office it is the responsibility of the individual to assess the situation and to make an informed decision whether to continue with your holiday. Any customers who took it upon themselves to give us a call to request some guidance and advice were given information about the current ground conditions and the forecast for more rain in the area, clients were advised that should they wish to travel to the park it would be at their own risk.

We can assure you that during this period the park worked closely with the call centre to ensure those clients still intending on travelling were accommodated to the best of our ability. This included wiring new electric hook ups on plots for static bases to accommodate touring caravans and motorhomes. We ensured farm machinery were made available to our grounds team to assist with vehicles that might need assistance, we relocated existing office and maintenance staff to assist on the ground. Furthermore we ensured that all facilities; third party and entertainment activities remained open to make the most of a disappointing situation despite the never ending down pours.

We would like to take this time to thank you for your feedback, which will be passed on to our management team. If you do wish for any further correspondence or clarification on this please contact customerrelations@pureleisuregroup.com. Many thanks, Billing Aquadrome.

Safe to say this is the worst campsite I’ve ever been on, Don’t get me wrong when I was a kid billing aquadrome was the place to be for camping. Arriving on site your greeted by staff who clearly don’t want to be here who then tell you to pitch up tent in an area of the park they full well know is knee deep water. After finding our own spot to pitch we decided better to sleep in the car for the night as the state of the site turned from one extreme to the next where the mud looked like a war zone, after all of this if you can look past the muddy paddling pool pitches you will have the pleasure of being woken up by the delightful residents who find it fit to drink drive at stupid speeds across site and have domestics all and any time of the night. So to top it off if your idea of fun camping is to sleep in watery mud filled fields with drunk, drugged fuelled antisocial residents billing aquadrome is the place to be. (Photos attached)

I have never been to such a disgusting camp site as bad as Billing Aquadrome. Nothing is what it seems in the photos everything is so run down and tired, the bathrooms are grubby the staff are rude and not willing to help in anyway. Also not a safe place to take kids.

Filthy dirty place, full of drunks, drug addicts and travellers. Bins overflowing, dog mess everywhere. The showers are dirty and cold, some have shower heads missing, I'm not even going to go there about the on-site toilets. The fairground, if you can call it that, is old and in need of restoration, as does the poor excuse for shops along the front. The lakes are dirty and full of rubbish, bottles, cans and goodness knows what else. Poor entertainment, The Venue is ok but only because there is nothing else to do, the other pub nearby looks like a local drug den inside and out. The pool is passable but cubicles dirty and showers not very warm. Depending on what way the wind is blowing, you also get the scent of sewerage wafting over.
Personally I'd say bulldoze the lot and start from scratch with a company that really cares.
Nothing much has changed has it Trudi246? Don't bother wasting your time with another fobbing us all off reply, you do too many of those already.
