“Lovely atmosphere in village, large flat with character”
Reviewed 25 July 2011 for a stay in July 2011

This flat is in the lovely mountain village of Pigna about a 20-30 minute drive up from the Italian riviera. The closest beach is Bordighera, pebble, good waves and nice beach restaurants with loungers (Maoma beach was our favorite). The village of Pigna is really nice, mostly undiscovered by tourists and close enough to the beach to be reached easily, but is calm and friendly and authentic. The flat itself takes up the whole second floor of a 3 floor building and has beautiful floor tiles, a curly wrought iron balcony railing, high ceilings and lots of space. You could sleep 9 here if you used the sofa bed in the tv room and the day bed in the dining room. It has one double bedroom, one twin room and 1 bunk bed room. Georgia who looks after the property is very friendly and helpful. Only downfall, hot water slightly erratic, toilet seat could be replaced and the kitchen needs a chopping board. Nice touches, sugar salt coffee toilet paper etc were in the flat already and beach towels were provided!

“Spacious, comfortable, stunning views, beautiful village”
Reviewed 21 July 2011 for a stay in July 2011

Very nice spacious apartment with stunning views. We have 2 children (4 and 18mths) and they were fine in the apartments as it's all on one level and very spacious. The terrace looks over the entire village which is great for people watching and having glass of wine in the evening. The village is oozing with Italian culture, a walk round is highly recommended. The locals are very friendly and there are a couple of bars and restaurants. The village has a park which is great for the kids. The coast is half hour drive away and the beaches are stunning. 45 minutes and you’re in Monaco which is worth a day trip and also Menton. A car is definately recommended. This was a fantastic holiday.
