The property is an authentic 4 storey stone house with stone floors, fireplaces, stairs and balconies with its own pool. There is plenty of room with 2 upstairs bedrooms and a lower floor with its own bedroom and 2nd sitting room (also 3 bathrooms). The house is decorated in a very rustic way with lovely flower baskets. It is located in a very traditional village (no shop only a bar), and the views from the balcony and pool are stunning.
However, the house does need some changes. Although the house is very traditional, it doesn’t feel very luxurious. The beds need to be replaced, as they all squeak. The light bulbs are full of dead insects. The tap in the bath drips. We were there in August and the house was very cold (no heating) and even with the extra blankets (from the cupboard) we were cold in bed. There is no Wi-Fi (I didn't mind but my teenage sons did). The village is very remote and you drive along a gravel track to get there and the roads are very narrow. The pool was also quiet 'refreshing'.
Overall, this is a lovely house in the great location, but it is quiet cold due to high altitude of the village. It needs some sprucing up and a visitors book. Why not add a games room in the lower sitting room or the lower store room, that would make it more appealing to teenagers.
