My husband surprised me for lunch at the Brick Bay Winery. We have been here before and every time we go we love it.
What l love about this place apart from the food and wine is the location and surrounding scenery. As you drive in your see sheep out on the grass a lovely big pond a few vines and a wonderful big glass house. The winery has been designed with a Scandinavian feel, nice and relaxed with a main eating area in the main building 2 covered areas for more relaxing and enjoying a wine and an outdoor area for summer with a kids playground.
In the past, we have enjoyed their yummy tasting platters, however, this time we decided to try something different on the menu and went with 2 x small plates the vodka cured salmon and duck liver pate and a large plate the hot cured salmon. My husband had the main plate and l enjoyed grassing on the small plates with my lovely glass of Rose. We couldn't resist a dessert so ordered the hazelnut affogato and chocolate puff which we ended up taking away to enjoy later. After you finish your meal head off for a walk around and if good weather take the sculpture trail to enjoy the wonderful scenery and sculptures within the winery. This place is great for winter and summer and a small tip make sure you book especially if you won't lunch as they are always busy.
