Our family stayed two nights at one of the fabulous cabins of Brimnes Hotel. The cabin was full equipped with all the utilities we could need, very clean and really quiet. The cabins are located by a lake so it's very nice to take a bath at the hot tube and enjoying the views of the lake and the mountains. The staff was very helpful. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and everything was really good, specially the homemade fish cakes. Thank you for all !
The cabin and specially the pool was great.
It was also clean.
The Restaurant is not open every evening; you should clear this in the morning or the day before.
In the Hotel you have free coffee and tea.
Nice and clean hotel, rooms might be a little bigger. Very good breakfast.
Staff very friendly.
Olafsfjordur is very beautiful, lot of things to do and see. Hiking, biking, visit Siglufjordur and Dalvik , and lot more.
One of the highlights of the Iceland road trip - Worth driving a little out of your way to visit Olafsfjordur and stay here. If you want to use the hot pot, start filling it up a couple hours in advance. Also, take advantage of the kayaks!
The cabin and views from them are utterly gorgeous. This was only our second night in Iceland (and first outside Reykjavik) and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place. Staff were super efficient and helpful. The hot tub was glorious and the free kayaks a great bonus. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again in future.
