The cabin itself is nice. We had the fifth cabin (named Grund) in a row of five cabins, so we had a better view than the first four cabins. The primary view is of a little bit of water, a road, a football field across the road, and then mountains behind the sports field. It could be fun in the winter to see people skiing on the mountains, but I would have liked to see more water during our trip in May. The hot tub on the porch is quite nice. Other than that, it was the most disappointing place of the eleven places where we stayed during our trip to Iceland. I had expected it to be one of the best (since it was the most expensive), and feel a bit misled by the beautiful picture on the listing. The cabin contained most items needed for cooking. The frying pan definitely needs to be replaced and a spatula should be provided since it's essential for much cooking (eggs, for instance).

WOW! Love these cabins! First, if you're going to stay here, go for the cabins. We stayed in the "Fosskot" cabin in late April 2016, and couldn't of been happier with the entire stay. Check in: easy and friendly. Heimer was very friendly and accommodating, showing us the whole cabin, how to use everything, how to turn on the hot tub, wifi passowrd, and also gave us suggestions of activites in the area. Free, fast wifi! The highlight of course was the hot tub, overlooking this awesome mountain. Also, the porch was nice, just to sit and enjoy the views. The interior of the cabin was very cozy and was perfect for our party of 3. There was a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, sitting area/dining room, and a loft with an extra bed. Free coffee in reception in the morning, and traditional breakfast available for roughly $10. What a great place, at any time of year. Will be coming back for sure.

Really nice cabin and friendly helpful staff, good spot too for northern lights on clear Spring nights :) plenty of extra bedding and well equipped kitchenette for cooking dinner. No complains. Highly recommended.
