We spent two nights at the Ennislare Guest House with friends. It's in a prime location, just 5-7 minutes walk from the town centre and sea front. Also close to the train station where you can get into Belfast. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Ours was a twin, but the beds were not small and there was lots of room. Lovely en suite bathrooms with toiletries which was a nice touch.

The breakfasts were freshly cooked and plenty of it. There was a choice of cereals and juices and I could even have my regular green tea with honey which is always a bonus for me as I don't do caffeine. There was even vegimite for our Australian friends, they were delighted!
The guesthouse is in a quiet street, so no outside noise at night. Our hosts were lovely and very helpful.

I would recommend this B&B to others and if I was looking again in that area I would book with them.

Room Tip: They have rooms on 3 floors so if. You have lots of luggage, choose one lower down as the stairs are a bit steep

What more could you want from a BnB in a seaside town - comfortable beds, clean rooms, amazing breakfast each morning, very friendly staff and great location.

This hotel is very close to the marina in Bangor and close to the centre.

We had two rooms; a double room on the second floor which had a sea view and was a very good size (however the lock on this room was sticky - so it made locking the door very difficult). The other room was a single room on the top floor, although this was only a single room it was very spacious and there was plenty of room to move around.

We asked for our rooms to be ready before check in time. We were advised that the staff would try their best to get 1 room ready for us. However on arrival it turned out both rooms were in fact ready and we could have our rooms earlier which was a great help!

Thanks for the great stay. Hope to see you again!

We spent three nights at Ennislare. The property is close to Bangor Marina and the town centre. The rail station and seashore walks are all close by. During our stay our hosts and their staff were most helpful and friendly, willing to share their time and local knowledge creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The guesthouse is decorated to a good standard, but do not expect the shiny chrome and marble floors of some establishments - nor the price tag. The decor is a little worn but the ambience is homely and personal. The rooms (our family occupied 5 rooms in total) were all as described, very clean and comfortable. Occupying room 1 it had no sea views, but this was not a priority. We were more interested in comfortable beds and a quiet night's sleep - which we enjoyed. The ensuite bathroom was of a good size as was the shower. Fresh clean towels and a range of toiletries were provided. The breakfasts were superb - All cooked to order from fresh ingredients - There was also plenty of 'non cooked' choices, including fruit and cereals of various kinds. There were fresh fruit drinks aplenty. Coffee and tea made fresh for every guest. On the first morning, not wanting an 'Ulster Fry' I asked for mushrooms - which unfortunately were not available - however, they were available in abundance for every following breakfast - and lovely they were too. To sum up this review I would say it was a very reasonably priced, comfortable and friendly establishment offering generous hospitality.

Room Tip: First floor front rooms offer sea views.

We were here for two nights in Room 7 at the top of 3 flights and 36 stairs. The town was pretty well booked out so our choices were limited otherwise we wouldn't have stayed here. The guest house has 10 rooms but only parking for five vehicles so first in - best dressed. The single wardrobe door hit the sloping ceiling every time it was opened and they were a bit skimpy with coffee, tea and milk. The wall mounted TV was also pretty small BUT on the positive side of things, the bathroom was roomy with an over-the-bath shower, they provided a really good breakfast in a pleasant dining room and it was only a 6-8 minute walk to the railway station to travel in to Belfast and a short walk to the waterfront.

We stayed here for two nights. The room was spacious and clean. We had the top floor and had a nice view. This was more like a hotel vs. a B&B. It was ok but did not feel the welcome that one gets at a B&B. Good location within walking distance to the seaside and also to the train to go to Belfast for a day trip.
