We were welcomed on our arrival and shown to a beautifully appointed bedroom with a very spacious en- suite. Our room was very comfortable, exceptionally clean and well serviced. Breakfast was very good, the staff very pleasant and accommodating, and we would not hesitate to book again if in the Pickering area.

Well ....... the hotel is in dire need of some tlc. This was made better by the fabulous staff and lovely food. The shower was great and breakfast was fab. I think with some money spent on the rooms and double glazing the place could be a little gold mine.

Stayed here for a local wedding. Although near the road I heard no traffic which was brilliant.
Rooms are very spacious and well lit and the ensuite was lovely and clean. Free WiFi throughout the building which was fast. Staff are incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, very welcoming.
We didn't have any food but the menu looked well priced. Would definitely stay again if I needed to be in that area

The staff are very good and helpful. The hotel has recently had an interior makeover, indeed the smell of emulsion still lingers. The rooms are reasonably spacious but dated. Bathroom fine with plenty of not water. A chest of drawers would have been welcome.
Fairly noisy as situated by a main road from Malton to Pickering. The breakfasts were very good and the menu included freshly prepared fruit salad and Whitby kippers. If you return to the hotel after 10.00pm you are likely to find the bar shut.
It would be good if breakfast times could be extended to 10.00am.
Perhaps the biggest negative is where the hotel is situated, in a sort of no man's land, where a car is a must, although there is a bus stop outside.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter.

Stayed for one night as everywhere else booked up. Staff we're friendly enough but the room had basic landlords magnolia paint and had to run around in the shower to get wet! All the windows were single glazed with rotting paint. To be fair the food was tasty but again very basic dated decor.
I think if you're going to charge holiday Inn prices you need to step up to the plate and spend a little. ..this is not the eighties!
