We stayed in Aug - 2 adults & 2 children aged 10 & 6.

The campsite is just a nice size and we were comfortable letting the kids go off to play. We were on a serviced pitch behind the shop, right next to the toilet block which we thought was ideal when we arrived. That was until we found quite a few people parking in front of our caravan whilst they nipped to the toilets / shop!

A few things to be wary of with this campsite:
* There isn't a bay to pull into, when you first arrive and check in, meaning no one can come in / out if tourers are checking in
* There is an on-site shop which advertises opening hours of 08:30-17:00 (if I remember rightly) but there are various points throughout the day where the shop is closed as the wardens are out and about on the site doing various other things. I seemed to have a knack for picking times when the shop was closed!
* We did have a couple of nights with people gathering outside the toilet blocks, playing loud music and dancing

The site is well looked after and the toilet blocks are cleaned regularly. There's also a little hut with leaflets which gave us ideas for a few days out.

We did enjoy our holiday but I'm not sure we would stay at this campsite again.

Pros-Caravan beautiful,clean & everything u need.
Quite area & friendly staff.

Cons-You need to drive everywhere if u want to leave campsite.
5mph limit which is fine but u have kids on bikes everywhere & dashing out between parked cars with no adult supervision!
Wi-fi is a joke so do not pay for this!

Overall a lovely place but sadly for us we won't be returning in the near future.

Just had a weekend here at this excellent campsite.

It is ideally situated between Scarborough and Pickering and also a great jumping off point for Dalby Forest or further afield to Whitby.

We had a non electric hook up camping pitch. The pitch was non sloping, clean and tidy with ample room for our 7m by 3m tent. The campsite was quiet at night and we had no trouble sleeping.

The toilet block is clean as were the shower cubicles. The water in the shower block was always piping hot too, which is just what you want.

The washing up area is covered over and there is a small launderette if you need to wash anything.

The campsite has a small shop which is well stocked. It also has a small wooden display shed with lots of leaflets about what to see and do in the area. If you have smaller children there is also a park for them to play in.

We would recommend this campsite. It was lovely.

Booked a holiday late and managed to get space here. Had a corner plot with electric. Stayed one week. Playground, shop, launderette, shower block and family bathroom. Shed with leaflets in with places to go.
9 ish miles out of Scarborough so it’s a great base to explore the area.
What really marked this camp out against others is the pride the owners take. It is spotless and constantly checked on.

This is a lovely caravan park, nicely situated between Pickering and Scarborough. Unfortunately, they have added a camping areas as an afterthought!

We were in the top field which is a long way from the shower and toilet block. It’s easy to see that this site is set up for caravans-but they should have provided some facilities for the campers when they decided to open up the camping fields! You really can’t wait until you need to “go”. You have to make regular journeys through the site “just in case”! And ladies beware - there are only 3 showers so get there early (or late!)

It was most annoying that we managed to pay for WiFi only to find that the signal dropped off before we got to our tent! (Thankfully, we paid by PayPal and were able to get a refund)
It was lovely to see so many families playing games in the camping fields and having a great time without devices but for adults who just wanted to catch up with the outside world we were very disappointed.

On the plus side - the staff are very friendly and helpful, the fish and chips from the van on Fridays are really good and there is a well-stocked shop.

Sorry, but we won’t be back unless there are some major changes to the facilities.
