“Cosy and well run”
Reviewed 26 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

The positives.
1. Warm, prompt welcome on arrival, good instructions.
2. Fresh flowers, cake, fresh coffee and fire made up.
3. Real fire easy to start and clean.
4. Great shower.
5 .Castle and station minutes away (check that the trains are running!)
6. Very close to town centre with good shops, pubs and restaurants
7. Good walks without need to drive.
8. Parking for a meduim sized car (leave the Bentley at home)
Negatives........can't think of any!

“Perfect - would come back / recommend”
Reviewed 1 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

2 night stay to visit Whitby at Halloween with our 12 year old and dog. Perfect location in Pickering - short walk from village, Castle and woods, and overlooking train station ( no issue with noise as so in frequent). Cottage had everything we needed, spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. Using the open fire and wood burner was great. Helen was very helpful, when she knew we had arrived early she arranged for the cottage to be available earlier. We loved the quirky decor, a real cosy feel. Some lovely touches like the lemon drizzle cake and milk in the fridge(much appreciated). Thank you - we look forward to coming back.

“Draper Cotage Perfection”
Reviewed 17 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Had a wonderful stay at draper cottage in Pickering, with added treats like a Fresh Lemon drizzle cake on arrival, fresh lowers around the cottage, would recommend to anybody requiring a long or short stay in Pickering.
One thing I would say though, (not a complaint) but when you have two dogs it would be beneficial to have a vacuum cleaner to help maintain good housekeeping.

“Perfect place for a relaxing break”
Reviewed 17 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We've just returned from a relaxing break in Drapers Cottage. Which is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Helen made us very welcome and showed us how every thing worked. The cottage was warm and cosy and only a short walk from all amenities.
Can't recommend Drapers Cottage highly enough.

“Great little cottage with a good central location.”
Reviewed 13 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Had a very enjoyable stay in Draper,s cottage. Helen made us very welcome and the cottage was clean and cosy. Loved the decor and furnishings. This is a great central point for sightseeing and Pickering itself has a superb range of quaint little shops. Steam railway is just opposite the cottage and really takes you back in time. Can not wait to come again.
