We visited the Old chemist for Sunday lunch. We have been here before and enjoyed the food. This time we had our two granddaughters with us 4 and 1.Firstly the food, excellent, secondly the ambiance, lovely, third the service outstanding. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They looked after us and the children with practiced ease, efficiency and understanding. We will return especially for the creamed leeks.

Just love this place...it's really nice and cosy in the restaurant part and if you are lucky get there early and grab a table by the large window and you will have a fantastic view too... have always enjoyed the food here and had the steak last time..it was absolutely delicious and my husband had the scampi which was really nice..can be busy in peak times so it's better if u book although we never had to..it also has a large outdoor space and leads straight into the beach...the only downside is that the toilets are in the bar..and when it gets busy it's a nightmare to get through and the toilets are pretty cramped also..

Came on a Monday evening for dinner with family. ..Staying in Saundersfoot and this pub is open every evening, recommended when we were in a nearby village also. .On arrival pub very busy in bar and cosy feel. So asked if anywhere to eat, got shown to restarant which had no one in but it was Monday evening. ..Choice of many gins and drinks. ..staff all very friendly ,smiley and professional, restaurant clean and great views. ..food was amazing all presented well and tasted divine. .Wonderful outside terrace right on the beach. .On reflection a very special evening and a wonderful last night of our holiday thank you. ....

These were the first words I heard from a waitress as we were shown to a table and I just knew straightaway it was a good choice of venue. Each staff member who came to our table was polite, friendly and cheery. Clearly an establishment that chooses and looks after staff well. The carvery was great tasting and very plentiful. On the plates, the meat of choice (Turkey and stuffing, beef and Yorkshire pud) plus parsnip, crisp roast potatoes. Side dishes had cheesy leek, mash, carrots, swede, cabbage and plenty of gravy. Asking for cranberry and horse radish no bother at all to the staff. We managed a glass of house red each and even shared a slice of lemon meringue pie. £28 all in, bargain!
