My wife and I noted this old pub en route to the castle and returned after for lunch. There is far more to Stirling than just the castle. This pub exposed us to genuine Scotland and their HomeMade Steak Pie was simply outstanding. Staff was very engaged and friendly. Wish this pub could selfishly be transported home. The experience and setting were that good. Do yourself a favour after visiting the Castle and visit here for lunch and a pint or two

Small, old pub. Very friendly staff and locals. We ate downstairs where there isn’t a great deal old space but we were welcomed with our small dog. Great haggis and very reasonably priced.

we went for some food and drinks, its not the biggest of places but its full of character. we ate at a table upstairs, which was a little less crammed. The food my partner and i both had was lovely, cant fault it at all and really good prices, i would definately go back on my next visit to stirling.

We went to have lunch, seemed a nice scothish pub .We ordered the food and a soup for our child but they didn't have so we asked the waitress if we could warm up one that we had in the car , she said no worries .
Surprisinly , the cooker said no. The food was ok.

The waitress was friendly and helpful when we were trying to select our beverages. She offered up some top local choices. The food was standard pub fair and very tasty. My partner had the haggis and I had the sausages and mash, neither of us had any complaints.
