Just popped in for a late lunch. Good range of food and hot fruit drinks. Worth its recommendation in Tripadvisor. Iain W.

Stopped in for some afternoon tea, not the largest place in the world, but wonderful reception for both two and four legged visitors. Had the scones, jam and cream which were wonderfully warm and tasty. Good coffee. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

We stopped in here for a fast lunch, as we needed to eat and get back for our bus tour to leave...the menu selection was great and homemade....a variety of coffees also available but we stuck to lunch. The prices are very reasonable with good portion sizes. The waitstaff is very friendly and the location is clean. I would't hesitate to stop here for coffee or lunch again in the future. It does not disappoint!

Visited with a friend who lives nearby, and no, she had never been in the place before. It was Halloween and the visiting dogs were in full costume! Friendly greeting, and quickly shown to a nice table in the vaulted room (the café has three small and cosy eating spaces). No problems coping with my disabilities as all on the level. Good menu and my sandwich was freshly prepared, as requested (no this...no that...) and very tasty. Good value too. I should have brought a dog! It was so refreshing to see the canine clientele being greeted by name and made welcome. More power to their elbow!! I will be back, with hubby and dog in tow next time!!

What's not to like about sitting in a vaulted room, thinking about the history of the building and enjoying the warm hospitality on offer here. Superb soups, good coffee and a fine sandwich.
