We were treated to a beautiful room the ‘St Margaret’ - great views - lovely and spacious and beautifully decorated. We were very impressed with staff and enjoyed our stay immensely. Our room had a seperate bathroom for privacy but in the corner of the room was a magnificent bath tub!!

Room tip: St Margaret’s is a gorgeous room!!

The Giltar is a traditional elegant hotel in one of the most glorious locations in Tenby with outstanding views over South Beach. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished deluxe rooms with sea view and it was well worth the extra money - gorgeous decor, well equipped bathroom and absolutely fabulous views from the bay windows in both directions. So easy to just sit in the armchairs revelling in the views but the Giltar is also only a short walk into the main streets of Tenby, the harbour and of course the stunning beach. Extremely comfortable bed, luxurious bed linens and very good breakfasts with the hot food cooked individually to order - and delivered piping hot and very speedily.
No review of this hotel could finish without mention of the outstanding staff! Every member of the team you meet is super friendly, the hotel is pristine so well done to the housekeeping team and a special shout out to Hannah on Reception for being so helpful and to Lewis who makes a mean passion fruit spritz as well as being so bright and cheerful at breakfast!

The Giltar is in a great location, right on the Esplanade and 5 minutes from the town centre.
Staff are friendly and breakfast is good and plentiful, although finer details like sauce in sachets let it down.

Our room (415) was quite cosy and had a partial sea view from the back of the hotel, however it was dated and was badly in need of a refurb. The mattress was awful and needs replacing urgently. The tv is old and tiny and there is no fridge in the room.

On the plus side the shower was hot and powerful. However, the bathroom has automatic lighting which stays on for about 10 mins so if somebody uses it in the night the light and the extractor fan noise wakes up all occupants.
The exit from the 4th floor was not well signed, would definitely not fancy my chances of getting out if there was a fire.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Giltar Hotel Tenby.

One disappointing point that needs management to resolve is the car parking. The website quotes there are 14 car parking spaces, but there’s not. We arrived in the pouring rain, only to be told the 2 empty car parking spaces were reserved for staff and to find a place to park elsewhere.

Not the welcome you’d hope for upon arrival, so I’d recommend the Hotel Mgr resolves this internally, so future customers don’t face the same issue.

Lovely small hotel located right on the sea front in Tenby.
We stayed here for 1 night in August, its a well run clean and reasonably priced hotel.
We had a sea view room which was double the view was uninterrupted and made our stay very special.
The room had most things you would expect tea tray etc but no fridge.
The shower was hot if a little slow.
Plenty of places to eat out in Tenby so we didn't try the dinner menu.
Breakfast was nice with everything you would expect on the menu.
There is no parking but a short walk away there is a large pay and display car park

Room tip: Large car park nearby 2 min walk from the Giltar
